Am Bügeleisen befindet sich ein zweipoliger, flacher Knopfkontakt, der so angebracht ist, daß er sich beim Abstellen des Bügeleisens auf den Federkontakt der Abstellvorrichtung legt. Dadurch wird der Stromkreis über den Heizkörper des Bügeleisens geschlossen. Das heiße Bügeleisen wird aus der Abstellvorrichtung herausgezogen und steht nun beim Bügeln mit keiner Zuleitungsschnur mehr in Verbindung.
