Abstract

The basin is provided with fastenings for at least one moulding (30) which is curved to correspond to the wall part contour of the basin, extends to the floor and consists of metal sheet and an adhesive layer. The moulding is mounted detachably on the fastenings, provided with recesses or projections for hooking in the moulding, by means of threaded elements and/or catch elements. The moulding itself or in conjunction with an intermediate body serves as a support for panelling elements (F) which can be attached to said moulding positively or non-positively. The moulding is a composite body and the intermediate body can be attached to its outside. The intermediate body has a layer of curable material, on which the panelling elements can be or are mounted in an adherent manner and on which the moulding has recesses. In order to construct segment-shaped basins of this type in such a way that their construction below the curved wall part is considerably simplified in design and can thus be manufactured less expensively, the intention being to design the mouldings of the basin in such a way that panelling elements can be mounted on them easily and quickly and the construction below the curved part of the segment-shaped basin can be demounted without damage as well as easily and quickly, the intention being to guarantee installation in a simple manner and provide a long service life and loading capacity, the basin is constructed in such a way that only the feet (18) support the basin (10) and the moulding consists of a plastic body (30) and serves as a support for the panelling elements (F), the plastic body (30) being divided centrally and having two semi-circular recesses (32a, 32b). <IMAGE>
