Plastic film packaging bag for bread

The invention relates to a packaging bag made of plastic film for bread, which has a bottom fold to form a block-shaped bag bottom.

The known packaging bags of this type have the same width and therefore the same cross-section along their entire length. So that the bread can be mechanically placed into the packaging bag with packaging material {}, the cross-section of the bag is always larger than the cross-section of the bread. The bread placed in then rests with one end on the bottom of the bag and the bag opening side is closed with a clip, so that the bread is held under a certain tension in the lengthwise direction between the bag bottom and the clip. The width of the bag also causes the foil triangles that are attached to the bottom of the bag to unfold in an undesirable way, giving the packaging an unsightly appearance and an undesirable design.

The aim of the invention is to design a packaging bag of the type mentioned above in a simple manner in such a way that the bread is securely enclosed by the bag both in the longitudinal direction and in the transverse and circumferential direction*

This task is solved by the packaging bag being conically narrowed towards its bottom.

This conical narrowing of the packaging bag gives it a cross-sectional size towards the bottom of the bag that corresponds to the cross-section of the bread and is larger in cross-section on its opening side than the cross-section of the bread so that the packaging material can move into the bag with the bread.

The narrowing causes the packaging bag to fit tightly around the bread and the clip closure on the bag opening side then pulls the larger bag area tightly around the bread so that the bread lies firmly in the bag along its entire length and across its entire cross-section and circumference and cannot be moved back and forth.

The foil triangles on the sides created by the bottom fold also fit tightly to the bread and can no longer expand due to the conical narrowing.

The conical narrowing of the packaging bag can be easily formed during bag production by means of weld seams and can be provided on a partial area of the bag length, but preferably on the entire bag length.

A packaging bag made of plastic film for bread (1)» such as sliced bread, whole bread or the like, is closed at its two longitudinal edges C2) by welding to form a tube and has a molded-in bottom fold (3) which, when unfolded, gives the packaging bag a block-shaped bag bottom (4).

The bag opening (5) opposite the bag bottom (4) is closed by a clip (6) after the bread CD has been inserted. Bag end firmly around the other end of the bread length so that the bread (1) is enclosed in the bag in both the lengthwise and crosswise directions.

The conical narrowing (7) can be provided over a portion of the bag length (L,), see Fig. 2), or preferably over the entire bag length (L) (Fig. 3). This conical narrowing (7) is achieved in that the two longitudinal edges (2) run conically towards each other in the direction of the bag bottom (4), so that the bag width is narrowed in the bottom (4) compared to the filling opening (5).

According to Fig. 2, this constriction is provided for approximately 1/3 of the bag length (L ₁ ) and in Fig. 3 for the entire bag length (L). The conical design of the bag is marked in Figs. 2 and 3 by (X).

The conical constriction (7) can also be formed by two weld seams on the two longitudinal edges (2), whereby the falling film triangles (Y) are sucked off during the bag production process.

The cross-section of the packaging bag must be larger on its opening side (5) than the cross-section of the bread so that the packaging means pushing the bread (1) into the bag can move into the bag containing the bread (1).

The conical constriction (7) gives the bag bottom (4) a cross-sectional size that is tailored to the bread cross-section, so that the bread (1) is pressed into the bag in a form-fitting manner in the bottom area.

When the bottom of the bag (4) is unfolded, the bottom fold (3) creates two lateral bag triangles, which create a doubling of the film adjacent to the bottom (4) and these triangles (3a) then lie firmly against the bread (1) due to the conical narrowing (7).
