Part of the sliding elements and bearing alloys used in technology
Temperable light or heavy metal alloys i ..:; the well-known advantages
faults and industrial accidents have frequently been observed in these alloys, for which '
Initially no explanations could be found.
It has now been established that the difficulties and the failures
uiid @ always occurred on running-in due to excessively high coefficients of friction
were to rework the alloy and thus jamming and pitting of the bearing.
This in turn was due to the excessive hardness of the sliding surface. Further
has become -, shows,: diaß: the, sliding layer - by post-hardening during running-in for
many purposes become too hard ', so no longer the required degree of softness
owns. On the other hand, the structural parts must still have the full strength values
have, and there are apparently opposite ones. Demands for one
weicilien sliding surface and a hard core material in the construction part.
erhalten, also höchste Festigkeit erlangen.

According to the invention: these requirements d: adurdh achieved that the
Sliding members are heated much more strongly on the sliding surface than in the core that

The following serve as an example:
As is known, the aluminum alloys have excellent sliding properties, and
also excellent construction properties. They are therefore used as connecting rods
used, but had to tin-plate the inner surface that is exposed to sliding,
so that on the one hand the necessary softness comes about, and on the other hand it is 4e in operation

if, one, the connecting rod cures at temperatures of .about 2oo °, while: one at the same time
the sliding surface is temporarily raised to temperatures by an additional heating
Brings 300 °. A P-leuel treated in this way still has in the construction part
the full strength, which corresponds to a hardness of over iio.li:g/mm2, while on the other hand
the sliding surface only has a hardness of 80 kg / mm2 according to Brine 11. The soft
