Die hierfür in Betracht kommenden technischen kohlenwasserstoffhaltigen Gase stehen nicht immer frei von der Beimengung ungesättigter Kohlenwasserstoffe zur Verfügung. Deren Entfernung aus dein Gas macht umständliche zusätzliche Apparaturen notwendig, die das Verfahren erheblich erschweren. Beläßt man andererseits die ungeisättigten Kohlenwasserstoffe im Gas, so entstehen an der Mischungsstelle mit den ozonisierten sauerstoffhaltigen Gasen Ozonide der ungesättigten Kohlenwasserstoffe, die sich in der Mischkammer bereitsi abscheiden und die hochexplosiv sind.
