Die Zündunterbrechungen stehen nämlich in zwangsläufiger Abhangigkeit von der Umdrehungszahi des Motors. So ist bei einem Motor die Zahl der Unterbrechungen in der Sekunde U=NZ: 60 t, wobei N die Drehzahl und Z die Zahl der Zylinder bedeutet; der Faktor t nimmt für einen Viertaktmotor den Wert für einen Zweitaktmotor den Wert I an.
