Description
um zu verhindern, daß das Garn oder der FadenThe invention relates to liquid-permeable protective coatings for yarns, threads and the like, thread-like material which is wound up in the form of a hollow body or cake.
Before subjecting wound yarn or packages of threads to a liquid treatment, it is customary to place the body of thread or thread in a liquid-permeable covering in order to prevent the thread or thread from leaking
Different Types of covering means have been proposed for this purpose, but presented it turns out to be difficult to keep the covering means in close contact with the yarn or thread especially if the thread has dried after the various liquid treatments will. This is especially true for thread material which consists of regenerated cellulose.
· Außerdem werden die Enden der Umhüllung in das hohle Innere des Kuchens gepreßt, und wenn der Kuchen von der Umhüllung wegschrumpft, soWhen regenerated cellulose has just been treated with the usual aftertreatment fluids and when it is finally washed, it contains 200 to 400% water and is in one severely swollen state. During the drying process, the moisture content is reduced to a maximum 7 to 12% decreased, and while the humidity removed, the cake will shrink. If the protective coating is not while with the cake the drying shrinks, the casing for the dried cake is too big and has the Tendency to hatch in relation to the cake, with the outer layers of the thread mostly get damaged. The loose wrapping also makes it difficult to handle the cake. · In addition, the ends of the casing are pressed into the hollow interior of the cake, and if the Cake shrunk away from the casing, so
B. während des Färbens.the folds of the wrapping take the inside of the Cake and interfere with the placement of the same on rods or the like, of which the cake during the following liquid treatment is worn, e.g. B. during dyeing.
According to the invention, a casing for wound thread packages is proposed which overcomes the disadvantages mentioned and which has the additional advantage of being cheap and as a ίο Wrapping can be used in which the Twine or thread can be shipped.
In dieser bedeutetIt is a particular object of the invention to provide an improved wrapping for packages of yarn and thread Od. Like. Or of thread-like material in the form of hollow bodies, such as. B. a cake, to provide the yarn or thread during liquid treatment protects them from being messed up, which would make winding difficult, or rather them protects against other damage and adapts to the cake when it is in its extended one water-laden state. It shrinks at the same time as the cake during the drying in such a way that it lies against the dried package and the surfaces of the dry pack. Other objects and advantages of the invention will emerge from US Pat following description or drawing. In this means

Fig. 2 shows a cake of a thread of regenerated cellulose, which with a thread according to the invention Enclosure is provided, with the cake in its swollen, water-laden State resulting from the fluid aftertreatment including washing, and before its drying is shown; Figure 3 shows the cake and casing after drying.
According to the invention becomes liquid permeable Sheet material of sufficient thinness and flexibility to quickly cover essentially both of the Inner as well as the outer circumferential surface of the annular Pack to be customized with a. Viscose solution coated, and the cellulose is regenerated from the viscose to obtain a sheet material which has a firmly adherent and bears pliable film of regenerated cellulose. Assuming some basic conditions can be met when the sheet material is wrapped around a cake of filamentary material and the cake is liquid treated and then dried, the casing shrinks with the cake while appearing at the same time a permanent crepe effect in the casing. The amount of regenerated cellulose that is on the sheet material is in the form of a film is fundamental to the shrinkage of the envelope with the kitchen while it is drying, and it must be such that the weight of the Paper plus film not less than 6 and extremely 15% greater than the weight of the Sheet material as such, preferably about 12 per cent larger.
In order to provide the sheet material with a film with such an amount of regenerated cellulose, that the weight of the sheet increased by 6 to 15% after the film was deposited thereon is, the sheet material must be treated with an aqueous solution of viscose, in which the proportion of viscose to that of water is from ι: 7 to 1: 3.
Both the lower and the upper limits of the increase in the weight of the sheet material through the regenerated cellulose film are critical. When the magnification is less than 6%, the casing does not shrink with the thread material during drying. On the other hand, if the weight gain is much greater than about 15%, the wrap will tend to excessively shrink during drying, which may lead to tearing or Breaking the wrapping leads. When shrinking, the covering takes on a permanent crepe effect whose extent depends on the ratio of those existing within the range given above regenerated cellulose.
Any permeable paper that has a wet resistance can be provided with a film of regenerated cellulose, and although of the necessary concentration, and it can be used as a covering for the thread material will. Types of paper used in the manufacture of tea bags satisfactory results. Paper made from natural fibers, such as wood, cotton, hemp, linen, or Made from synthetic fibers, with lengths of 0.48 to 2.54 cm or longer, can be made with Find success in practicing the invention.
Any permeable paper that has increased wet resistance as a result of resin impregnation during or after its manufacture as a sheet is suitable. examples for Such papers are those which are made from fibers either in length that at are common in papermaking, or longer than the length normally used in papermaking Is used, and are impregnated with urea-formaldehyde, phenol-formaldehyde, Melamine formaldehyde resins or the like.
Other suitable covering materials are those of paper-thin felts, which are made from fibers, either of the length as they are are common in paper manufacture or in the manufacture of textiles.
Beispielsweise kann das Blatt durch eine wäßrige Schwefelsäure gezogen werden, welche das Coagulations- und Regenerierungsbad darstellt, z.B. ein wäßriges Bad, das bis 12 % Schwefelsäure enthält, und außerdemAny suitable conditions for the regeneration of the cellulose from the viscose film can be used carried by the sheet material. For example, this can Leaf can be drawn through an aqueous sulfuric acid, which the coagulation and regeneration bath represents, for example an aqueous bath containing up to 12% sulfuric acid, and also
Any viscose can be used, preferably but a viscose of normal composition and viscosity as well as with normal salt point, that is a viscose which contains 6 to 8% cellulose, 6 to 8% sodium hydroxide and one Salt point from 3 to 6, generally around 5.
As shown in Fig. 1, the envelope or Cover according to the invention from a sheet of permeable material 2, which is a film regenerated cellulose 3 carries and can have the shape of a tube or a cylinder, which by overlapping the opposite edges 4 and 4 'and unifying these overlapping ones Edges have arisen in any way, as shown by a heat-sensitive strip 5, which lies between the edges and becomes adhesive when heated. In Fig. 2 is an annular Cake 6 made of rayon or the like. Shown, all of its surfaces through the tubular casing are protected according to Fig. 1, and if the arrangement of Fig. 2 is treated with liquid, is washed and dried, both the cake and the casing will shrink during drying, and as shown in Fig. 3, the envelope corresponds to the areas of the dried cake in the same way as the surfaces of the swollen, water-laden Cake corresponded and the casing is crepe, as the reference number 7 indicates.
The viscose can be sprayed or brushed onto the sheet material, preferably but the sheet is passed through a vessel containing the viscose solution, and then through the aqueous sulfuric acid, which is the regeneration bath.
Instead of overlapping the edges of the sheet and using a strip or tape to heat sensitive To seal material that lies between them, an area of the sheet, which abuts an edge thereof, are coated with an adhesive, or the sheet material can be wrapped around the cake and simply held together by overlapping will.
If desired, the sheet material bearing the regenerated cellulose film can be made with a Pluralities of perforations are provided to increase the permeability or porosity of the envelope to increase. For example, the sheet material comprising the continuous regenerated cellulose film carries, are passed over a roller which is provided with a plurality of needle-like projections is, whereby the porosity of the treated paper is mechanically improved.
