Tooth cleaning and oral irrigator with liquid drive for simultaneous cleaning of the inner and outer surfaces of the teeth

The purpose of the invention is the simultaneous cleaning of the tooth lines and outer surfaces by means of a fluid drive, so that the gums can also be massaged and the teeth can be rinsed.
It is known that there are a large number of different toothbrushes and cleaning devices, some of which are also equipped with oral irrigators (German patent specification no. 303681). There are also some brushes that are set in rotation by water power. However, there is neither a mouth cleaning device that applies a constant, not too high pressure to the teeth, nor a device that cleans or rinses the inside and outside surfaces of the teeth at the same time.

The invention is based on the task of simultaneously cleaning the inner and outer surfaces of the teeth, as well as simultaneously rinsing them and additionally massaging the gums. This task is solved according to the invention in that two opposing brush heads are set in rotation by simple water pressure, whereby the inner and outer surfaces of the teeth are cleaned simultaneously, while the water jet used to drive them exits the edge of the brush heads, thus rinsing the teeth and massaging the gums. In addition, by rotating the housings by 180°, the chewing surfaces of the upper and lower jaw can be cleaned simultaneously.

The tooth cleaning and oral irrigator is connected to a water tap or a liquid storage container so that water or a cleaning mixture reaches the handle (4) via the supply line (10). From there it flows via a check valve (9) into the connector (3) where it branches off into the respective housing (2).

(11) of the paddle wheel (5) and drives it so that the brush heads (1) rotate. The water jet comes out of the outlet openings or the edge of the brush head (1) and cleans and massages teeth and gums. By turning the housing by 180°, the brush heads (1) point in the opposite direction (see Fig. 2), so that the chewing surfaces can be cleaned.

The advantage of the invention over conventional mouth cleaning devices is that the inner and outer surfaces of the teeth are cleaned and rinsed at the same time and the gums are massaged. The rotational movement eliminates unpleasant vibrations that otherwise make cleaning the inside of the teeth impossible. After rotating the housing, it is also possible to clean the chewing surfaces of the upper and lower jaw at the same time. In addition to saving time, this tooth cleaning and oral irrigator guarantees thorough cleaning through a constant, not too high contact pressure, thus preventing excessive abrasion of the gums. In addition, after removing one of the two housings, the device can be used as a conventional one-sided mouth cleaning device.

Tooth cleaning and oral irrigator with liquid drive, consisting of two counter-rotating paddle wheels mounted in opposing housings, which are connected to heads with bristles or rubber lamellas, at the outer edge of which the water jet used to drive them emerges and thus washes teeth and massages gums, characterized in that for simultaneous oral and vestibular cleaning and massage of teeth and gums, an additional turbine with a cleaning head is provided opposite the first and rotating in the opposite direction, and that the pressurized fluid supply to the turbines takes place from the handle part (4) via a connecting part (3) that can be plugged onto the handle part and a fluid-carrying arm (2) that is tightly attached to the connecting part and carries the turbine with the cleaning head at each end. 2.
