Strip for attaching curtains

The invention relates to a strip for the movable fastening of curtains and/or drapes by means of at least one rail fastened to the strip, in or on which sliders or rollers run which are fastened to the upper edge of the curtain or drape, wherein a device with double-deflected cords guided to the side is provided, by means of which the curtain or drape can be lowered.

From the German patent specification 29 37 660 it is known to attach a curtain rail including the attached rail to a second upper rail in a lowerable manner via cords or rollers. This makes it easier for the housewife to change curtains and drapes without having to climb up through a rail. The object of the invention is to improve a strip of the type mentioned at the beginning so that easy handling is guaranteed with a low overall height and low weight.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the individual rail(s) is/are attached to the cords and can be lowered relative to the immovable bar.

With this design, only a single rail that supports the curtain and/or drapes is lowered and then pulled up again after changing. The weight of this rail is in addition to the curtain and/or drapes and since the curtain or drapes are attached centrally in the cover across the longitudinal axis, there is no risk of tipping over when being pulled up. This makes operation particularly safe and simple.

It is particularly advantageous if the cords are guided over rollers \ 35 or wheels that are attached to the bar above the rail. The construction height is then particularly

A curtain rail 1, in particular made of wood, with a greater width B than height H has a continuous longitudinal groove 2 on the underside, so that the cross-section of the rail 1 is approximately that of a wide inverted U. On the horizontal upper side 3 of the groove 2, at least two Rollers H (wheels, rollers, deflection pins) are rotatably mounted, the rotation axis of these rollers k being horizontal and perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the bar 1. The rollers 4 have ring grooves 5 in the middle, over which cords 6 run.
