Zur Aufstellung von Gesteinbohrmaschinen, insbesondere von Stofsbohrmaschinen, an Orten, an welchen man nicht wie in niedrigen Stollen oder engen Schächten im Gebirge selbst zwei einander gegenüber stehende Widerlager für Befestigung von Spannsäulen oder Spreizen findet, benutzt man meistens Dreibeine. Für Stofsbohrmaschinen mit kräftiger Schlagwirkung und starker Rückzugskraft haben sich dieselben jedoch als nicht fest genug erwiesen; theilweise genügen sie auch nicht der besonders mit Rücksicht auf die Nachstellung der Maschine beim Verlaufen des Bohrers praktisch unerläfslichen Bedingung, dafs nach fester Aufstellung des Ganzen die Bohrmaschine immer noch einzeln beliebig verstellbar bleibe. Das nachstehend beschriebene, in Fig. 1 und 2 in den Constructionseinzelheiten und einer perspectivischen Ansicht dargestellte Freigestell genügt jener Bedingung und gestattet vermöge seiner Anordnung und Festigkeit das Bohren in allen Richtungen, selbst senkrecht zu seiner sonst meistens annähernd die Bohrrichtung in sich aufnehmenden Symmetrie-Ebene. Ferner ist eine Einrichtung getroffen, welche es in einfachster Weise ermöglicht, die gegeneinander gelenkig beweglichen einzelnen Theile des Gestelles bei jeder beliebigen Einstellung zu einem starren Körper zu verbinden. Zu diesem Zweck ist die — praktisch durch ein starkwandiges Rohr R gebildete — Gelenkachse des Gestelles gegen ihre Mitte hin mit zwei Bundringen B1 und B2 versehen, und diese Bundringe laufen ebenso wie die Gelenkstücke G1 bis G4 der vier Beine in conaxiale Hohl- bezw. Vollkegel aus, welche in der aus der Zeichnung ersichtlichen Weise derartig in einander greifen, dafs je zwei Beine mit je einem Bundring, also auch mit dem Rohr R durch Reibung verbunden werden können. Zur Erzeugung des erforderlichen Reibungsdruckes sind an den Enden des Rohres R Schrauben S1 und S2 angeordnet, welche unter Vermittelung der tellerförmigen Unterlegescheiben T1 und T2 die Gelenkstücke gegen die Bundringe pressen können. Bei richtiger Wahl des Spitzenwinkels der Kegel — ca. 30 ° haben sich als günstig erwiesen — gestattet diese Kegelkuppelung bei geringem Kraftaufwand eine sehr feste und doch ganz leicht lösbare Verbindung, wie solche sonst nur mit Hülfe des hier praktisch kaum anwendbaren' Lamellengelenkes erreicht werden könnte.Furthermore, a device has been made which makes it possible in the simplest possible way to connect the individual parts of the frame, which are mutually articulated, to form a rigid body in any setting.
