Korsettstangen sind ein unentbehrlicher Bestandteil eines jeden Mieders,
Korsetts, Leibhalters u. dgl. und haben die Aufgabe, das Mieder glatt zu halten
bzw. zu verhindern, daß es in sich zusammenrutscht. Diese Aufgabe wird aber dann
nicht erfüllt, wenn das Gewebe der Rolirstreifeti, die zur Aufnahme der Korsettstaugen
dienen, infolge der durch die Bewegung des Körpers hervorgerufenen Reibung an den
Enden zerstört wird, so daß die Stangen durchstoßen. (im dieser Gefahr zu begegnen,
sind verschiedene Wege beschritten worden. So hat man die Stellen am Mieder, die
erfahrungsgemäß regelmäßig durchgcstol?en werden, durch aufgenähte Stoff- oder Lederstreifen
verstärkt. Abgesehen von dem hierzu erforderlichen Arbeits- und Zeitaufwand ist
die Verwendung von Leder nicht zweckmäßig, da es durch das Waschen des Mieders hart
und brüchig wird und zum Wundreiben führt. Auch wirken sich die Schrumpfungen durch
den Waschvorgang hindernd beim Einfügen einer neuen Stange aus. Auch hat man die
Stangen mit Schutzkappen versehen. 1-lierfür wurden die Enden der Stangen mit einern
lack überzogen, und darüber wurde nach Envei--hcn des Lackes durch ein Lösungsmittel
ein als Schlauch gestaltetes Stoffstück so gestreift, daß ein Stück der Schutzkappe

Die Erfindung geht, um das Durchstoßen der Korsettstangen durch das

zwar wird dabei gemäß der Erfindung die Schutzkappe aus einem schlauchartig nahtlos
gewebten und aus einem bandgewebten Teil gebildet, dessen Schußfäden ein Stück weit
aus deii Kettenfäden entfernt sind, #.vobei die aus den beiden Teiten bestehenden
Schutzkappen als Abschnitte eines abwechselnd als Schlauch und als festes Band gewebten
Gebildes gewonnen sind. Demgemäß wird auf einem Bandwebstuhl ein der Breite des
zu schützenden Stabes entsprechend breites Band in regelmäßigen Abständen abwechselnd
als Schlauch und als normales Band gewebt. Die so gewebten Bänder werden min in
der Weise zerschnitten, daß das abgeschnittene Stück zum Teil aus Schlauchband,
zum anderen -Teil aber aus festem, normalem Band besteht. Der Korsettstab, dessen
Enden mit einem solchen Schutz ausgerüstet werden sollen, wird vorher mit einem
Lacküberzug an den Enden versehen. i-ber die so vorbereiteten Stabenden wird das
schlauchartig gewebte Stück des Bandes gestreift, und zwar so, daß es straff aufsitzt.
Wird nun das Stabende in ein für den verwendeten Lack geeignetes Lösungsmittel getaucht
und unter eine geheizte Presse gebracht, so verbindet sich der Lack der Versclilul5kappe
fest
mit der gewebten Kappe und kann im normalen

wird aus dem über das Stabende hinausragenden

Schutzkappe sei als Vorteil hervorgehoben, daf> die
Schutzkappe ohne jede Naht ist und dadurch keilte
Störung oder 1`nbe(lucmlichkcit vorhandcii ist tuid
die schlauchartigen Schtitzkappcii laufend maschinell
