Es gibt bereits verschiedene Abseihdeckel, z. B. mit :lusnehmungen in der Oberfläche, welche mittels Schieber oder Klappen verschließbar sind. Alle diese Abseihdeckel haben den Nachteil, daß .sie zu teuer sind und zu Verschmutzungen neigen und außerdem sich schlecht reinigen lassen. Sie haben sich daher nicht eingeführt. Die Hausfrauen verwenden alle ihre normalen und einfachen Deckel, die sie beim :Abseihen etwas zurückschieben, um so einen schmalen Spalt für die abzugießende Flüssigkeit frei zu haben.
