Claims (2)

Patentansi RfCHE:To when milking. To avoid the annoying tail movements, the cow's tail can be tied to any fixed point or to the body of the cow itself. However, this is cumbersome and time-consuming / according to the invention, you can suppress disturbing tail movements of the cow or other animals in a simple manner by using a detachable clamp that surrounds the tail like a clip over a length of several vertebrae. An embodiment of such a clamp is shown approximately on a natural scale in the drawing. A clamp has two parts 1 hingedly connected by a bolt 3, which end on one side in longer, semi-cylindrical clamping jaws 2 and on the other side in parts 4 serving as a handle. A spring 5 seeks to urge the jaws 2 against one another. When the cow is being milked, the cow's tail is encircled a hand's breadth under its root by means of the jaws 2 like a clamp. The jaws 2 extend over a series of caudal vertebrae. As a result, the pinched a5 tail piece cannot be bent. This blocking of the curvature surprisingly prevents larger, disruptive tail movements, be it that the cow has the idea that her tail is being held rigidly, or that other physiological phenomena that paralyze a stronger tail movement are triggered. In any case, the cow only makes small tail movements, but these do not interfere with milking. It should be particularly emphasized that the attachment of the clamp to the cow's tail alone is sufficient, so the clamp does not need to be attached or tied to a fixed point or to the body of the cow. Patent application RfCHE: 1. Tail holder for cows or the like, characterized by a releasable resilient clamp (1 to 5), which surrounds the tail like a clip over a length of several vertebrae. 2. Schwanzhalter nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Klemme aus zwei durch einen Bolzen (3) gelenkig verbundenen Teilen (1) besteht, welche an dem einen Schenkel je eine halbzylindrische Backe (2), am anderen Ende einen Handgriff (4) aufweisen, wobei beide Backen durch eine um den Bolzen (3) angeordnete Feder (5) zusammengedrängt werden.2. tail holder according to claim 1, characterized in that the clamp consists of two by a bolt (3) articulated parts (1) which on one leg each have a semi-cylindrical jaw (2), at the other end a handle (4), both jaws being urged together by a spring (5) arranged around the bolt (3) will.
