Description
The iron losses from dynamo or transformer sheets are usually determined with the Epstein apparatus or other electrical measuring directions. These methods lead to high inductions because of the overtone waves of the magnetizing current to trouble.
Fig. 2 dient zur Erläuterung. The invention also relates to an arrangement for measuring the loss figure of dynamo or transformer sheets, especially with high inductions of about 15,000 to 20,000 Gauss. The difficulties outlined are in accordance with the invention thereby avoided that in the full unit by Wirhel currents and hysteresis can be measured for trending losses due to the rise in temperature. In Fig, 1 is a measuring arrangement according to the invention shown schematically. Fig. 2 is used for Explanation.
In Fig. 1 are with 1 and 2- two sheet metal strips or sheet metal strip stacks denotes which of a magnetizing coil 3 is uniform over its entire length are magnetized, the magnetizing current 1 from a regulating transformer 4 is delivered. An induction measuring coil 5 lies around the sheet metal strips 1 and 2 the in a known manner with the help of a synchrin actuated mechanical measuring equalizer 6 and a moving coil instrument 7, the peak value of the induction is determined. A thermocouple 8 is attached between the sheet metal strips 1 and 2, the second of which The soldering point is located in a vessel 9 and kept at a constant temperature so -that the galvanometer IO the temperature increase #T of the metal strips 1 and 2 shows the contents of the vessel 9. After switching on the current 1 This tenperat'ur difference will increase over time, as indicated in FIG. 2 - The 'temperature rise' - is proportional to the watt losses / kg of sheets 1 and 2.
To find out the absolute value of this heat loss (loss figure in watts / gk ( In a second attempt, the metal strips 1 and 2 heated by sending a direct current Igl through them. The direct current enters the sheet metal 1 at 11, goes through the clamping point 12 and occurs at the Issue I3 from the sheet metal. The voltmeter U picks up the voltage drop a certain lengthL of the metal sheets. If the series resistor 14 is used to regulate the direct current so that the same temperature rise ## results as in the case of magnetization with the coil 3, the direct current power per unit volume is equal to the loss figure V (for the induction at which the curve according to FIG. 2 was measured). One denotes the weight of the sheet metal strips 1 and 2 on the length L with G, so Igl. U G in the practical implementation of the procedure in the first-mentioned experiment to avoid that the current intensity in the magnetizing winding 3 is heated the sheet metal strips 1 and 2 causes what z. B. can happen that the Winding 3 is made from a water-cooled pipe.
Up to inductions of about 15,000 Gauss can be achieved. the loss rate also electrical, e.g. B. with wattmeters or mechanical measuring rectifiers, reliable measure up. One can therefore use the method according to the invention up to these inductions compare with the electrical measurements.
One can build practical arrangements with up to inductions from 10,000 to 15,000 Gauss the loss coefficient is measured electrically, beyond that but in the same apparatus according to the invention from the temperature rise.
