Der in beiliegender Zeichnung dargestellte Kartoffelgrabepflug hat ein Gestell wie ein gewöhnlicher Pflug. Die Stellvorrichtung und die Zugvorrichtung stimmen damit genau überein. Das Schar dagegen ist zweiseitig und es sind dementsprechend auch zu beiden Seiten Streichbretter angebracht. Das Schar hat eine Gesammtbreite von 34 cm und greift hiermit beiderseits so weit, wie die Kartoffeln bei Reihenpflanzung liegen. Die beiden Streichbretter reichen bis 26 cm in die Höhe, setzen jedoch senkrecht zur Zugrichtung gemessen nur in einer Breite von je 7,5 cm an und gehen so bis zur Höhe von 14 cm über den Tiefgang des Pfluges. Hierüber haben sie Lappen nach den Seiten, welche zusammen am unteren Rande eine Breite von 37 cm und am oberen eine solche von 46 cm ergeben. An den über die Ansatzbreite der Streichbretter hinausreichenden Fortsetzungen des Schars sind Verlängerungen aus Winkeleisen angebracht, welche am hinteren Ende bis auf 16 cm Zwischenraum nach einwärts gebogen sind.
