Process for the production of copolymers It has already been proposed

It is true that the styrene content can also be produced by emulsion polymerization,
but these copolymers differ from the rubber-like ones mentioned
due to a pronounced plastic character. Such Mischpoly merisate were

Natriumsulfat verwendet. An advantageous embodiment, to which, however, the invention is not limited, is that, for the preparation of the Miechpolymerisats, mixtures of butadiene and predominant amounts of styrene in aqueous solutions according to conventional processes, e.g. B. in alkahsc'hem medium in the presence of regulators and oxygen-releasing agents, polymerized. The resulting aqueous dispersion of the copolymer then runs after removal of the monomeric constituents through a pipe or a single channel and is at temperatures above 25 °, advantageously 30 to 50 °, with the aqueous solution of divalent electrolytes flowing in the same direction, which also may still contain monovalent electrolytes, added. The coagulate runs onto a belt filter. washed and pressed and can be pulled off as a tape. Calcium chloride or magnesium chloride or mixtures thereof are mainly used for coagulation, optionally with the use of sodium chloride, sodium sulfate or sodium sulfate.
Example 100 parts of an approximately 30% aqueous dispersion of a mixed polymer
from 3o parts of butadiene and 7o parts of styrene are expedient continuously in one
Tube designed as a nozzle with 20 to 100 parts of an approximately 10% calcium chloride solution
and mixed 10000 to 5000 parts of water. With a content of about 1 to 5% copolymer
the coagulate is placed on a running, endless sieve belt at a temperature of 35 °

the copolymer can be lifted off the screen as a band and falling from 13o to 6o '
