Method and device for deaerating viscous liquids
The invention relates to a method and a device for venting
viscous liquids. The process solves the problem in a viscous liquid
contained gas, especially air with the help of a rotating curved
Separate area.
Centrifugal venting methods have heretofore been used in the rayon industry
No entry found, as none with the help of the devices that have become known
sufficiently deaerated spinning solution could be obtained. With these were to
large amounts of spinning solutions set in rotation, which as a result of the large
Layer height the ventilation effect was low. Another suggestion assumed
to connect the rotating container to a vacuum kettle and in this way
continuously sucking off the viscous liquid from the rotating vessel. Even
this proposal did not lead to that due to the unfavorable flow conditions
desired success. Finally one went over to it, from a lying rotating
Drum skim off the viscous liquid from the edge. But also this embodiment
did not find its way into the rayon industry for the same reasons.
In the method according to the invention one proceeds so that one to one

A bell-shaped curved design of the
The vessel jacket ensures that the liquid layer thickness when flowing along it
on the wall is diminished, thereby reducing the path that the air bubbles take in the viscous

has a hyperbola or parabola followed by a circle, which finally
merges into a straight line that is slightly inclined to the axis of rotation, has proven to be expedient.
As a result of the centrifugal effect, the air bubbles are released from the viscous liquid
eliminated. The curved vessel wall can be interrupted by zafin-shaped elevations,
whereby the liquid film is periodically thinned and thickened. The air bubbles
migrate radially towards the axis of rotation and collect on the surface of the liquid film.
The curved vessel boundary is followed by a straight part, which
is slightly conical and has small openings in the wall
which the deaerated viscous liquid is injected onto the second vessel jacket.
The aerated viscous layer and foam collect on the inner surface of the
Liquid ring, which arises thereby, the liquid in the
rectilinear part jams. The liquid passed through the openings runs on the
second vessel jacket down, the same air elimination process being carried out again
will. While most of the air is expelled from the first vessel jacket,
the second vessel jacket serves to remove even the smallest air bubbles from the viscous

The ventilation is also of great importance in that one passes through the hole diameter
can burst all bubbles which are larger than this, whereby
the excretion of air and foam formation to be carried out on the second vessel jacket
is reduced accordingly. It is expedient to choose the diameter of the openings
in the wall a size that corresponds to the average diameter of the air bubbles.
rotierenden Welle befindlichen Luftschraube erzeugt.
Foam removal can be done in two ways. Either
the rotating cavity is placed under vacuum and increased in volume
the foam bubbles to burst, or a stream of air of sufficient speed is carried out
and / or increased temperature through the vessel, which one on the
rotating shaft generated propeller. In the latter embodiment
the viscous liquid collects in a ring container, which is the straight

wegen ihrer geringen Maße all die Oberfläche ge-
All der Oberfläche
dieses Flüssigkeitsringes sammelt sich der Schaum
an.
Two exemplary embodiments for carrying out the method are to be explained in more detail with reference to FIGS. The device according to Fig. I, in which no vacuum

The largely pre-vented liquid penetrates through the holes 21 in the vessel wall i4 and is again deposited in helical paths on the vessel jacket 13, where the air elimination process is carried out again. The vented liquid then collects in the funnel-shaped part 24 and can be removed from the vessel through the drainage roller 25. To remove foam, air is constantly sucked off through the pipe ii, which flows through the holes 16 in the vessel wall 12 and finally through the bores g of the lid navel, creating a vacuum.

Teil des Sammelbehälters steht still. Der geradlinige Teil 4o des Gefäßmantels 33
geht in ,ein Ansaugrohr 46 über. Die Welle 36, auf welcher sich die Luftschraube

gehalten.
The device according to FIG. 2, in which an air flow is used, also consists of a hanging shaft 26 which has a central flange 27 with adjoining radial joints 28. A cover hub29 is firmly wedged onto the hanging wall. It is designed as a bearing and holds the ball bearings 30 and 31. Two vessel jackets 32 and 33 arranged concentrically to one another are attached to the cover hub 29. The vessel jacket 32 is widened at its upper end. The axially parallel wall 34 of this extension contains the openings 35. The vessel jacket 33 is attached to the straight part 36 (of the vessel jacket 32. The two vessel jackets are supported by a pressure bearing ring 37, which transmits the forces to an intermediate arm 38 of the frame 39 The vessel jacket 32 is closed off by a sieve bottom 45. The straight part 4o of the vessel jacket 33 contains openings 41 which lead into a collecting container 42 which annularly surrounds the straight part 4o The other part of the collecting container stands still supports and holds two webs 49. A sheet metal 5o adjoins the rectilinear part 36, which is used to guide the air.
According to the method one works as follows: The liquid to be vented penetrates through the central bore 27 into the rotary cavity, experiences a layer thinning on the vessel wall 32 and accumulates in the rectilinear part 36 36 arises, the foam collects. The largely pre-deaerated liquid can drain through the holes in the wall of the rectilinear part 36. It hits the opposite vessel wall 33, where the same air elimination process is carried out again. The completely deaerated liquid collects in the container 42, since only the deaerated part of the viscous liquid can flow through the holes 41, while the foam collects on the surface of the rotating liquid ring. The air is sucked in from the suction channel 46 by the propeller 47 and finally penetrates through the sieve plate 45 into the vessel 32 and is discharged to the outside through the bores 35. This results in proper removal of the foam.
