Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen solchen Halter, der dem Bedürfnis nach einem haltbaren Karteigerät nachkommt, das vorzugsweise zum Gebrauch in Schulen. Er besteht nach einer Ausführungsform aus nur drei Teilen, Nämlich aus einer massiven, mit schrägen Schlitzen oder Nuten versehenen Grundplatte, vorzugsweise aus bolz, und zwei steifen, dünnen Halteplatten o. dgl. aus -beliebigem Baustoff, aus bestem Aluminium oder Preßmaterial, die in die Schlitze der Grundplatte eingesteckt werden.
