Description
Gutter The high acquisition costs and the shortcomings of the zinc sheet gutters that were generally in use up to now led to the construction of the tile gutters described below. The considerations that led to the construction of this rather drastic renovation for the construction sector were as follows: The sheet metal gutters used up to now take a considerable place both in the cost calculation for new houses and in ongoing house repairs. The resources to be expended for this in no way do justice to the low requirements that only exist in the collection and drainage of rainwater. If one also takes into account that the gutters have to be renewed every 15 to 20 years, that the service life of sheet metal gutters is only about a third of that of a normal tiled roof, the unprofitable gutters used up to now are obvious.
The innovation described here, its exact construction details the drawing can be seen, provides a gutter, which consists of the same Material like the roof cover, e.g. B. made of clay. According to the invention therefore the bottom row of roof tiles is designed as a gutter.
An exemplary embodiment is shown in the drawing. It shows Fig.r the part of a roofing with a gutter in plan view, Fig. 2 the plan view on the gutter tile, Fig. 3 the side view of the gutter-shaped roof tile, Fig. 4 the view against the gutter tile, Fig. 5 the side view of the gutter tile on an enlarged scale with the roof battens, Fig. 6 shows the longitudinal section through the gutter according to line A-B of Fig. 2, Fig. 7 with the lower part of the channel-shaped brick Connection piece, Fig. 8, the lower part of an end tile with a vertical end wall.
According to the invention, the roof tiles are the lowest Row bulges in the shape of a channel in its lower part (Fig. I and 3). Every single one Gutter tile is designed so that it is at its upper end like any normal Roof tiles can be hung on the roof batten (Fig. 5) and on its lower Forms a continuous channel with the adjacent bricks at the end. The inner brick is for this purpose on both sides of the bulged part with tongue and groove provided, so that the sliding and jointless merging of the individual bricks to a gutter is guaranteed (Fig.6). The remaining small cracks and recesses are filled with a sealant, which in its effect can be compared with the roof turret seal, and then poured with roofer.
The tile gutter described is therefore capable of all of them To fulfill tasks in the same way as the previously used sheet metal gutter. In addition, the use of the tile gutter offers great advantages, such. B. the possibility of being able to replace individual internal bricks without difficulty, while even the smallest crack or the slightest leak in the tin roof gutter inevitably extensive and costly repairs, if not loss the entire gutter. The sheet metal gutter is soiled by dust, Soot, leaves, etc. are damaged very quickly, but the tiled gutter can build up deposits Nothing to do with the above type, since there is every possibility of rust formation from the outset is missing.
The deciding factor, however, is the execution of the tile gutter makes it seem so compelling, lies in the economy.
The reasons for this are briefly mentioned: The price for a normal roof tile of good quality is 0.25 DM. An inner tile costs around 0.50 D'1. With a usage density of 5 tiles per running meter, the production of the tile gutter costs 2.5o DM per running meter. If the lowest row of roof tiles, which is replaced by the inner tiles, is omitted, an amount of 5 times 0.25 = 1 comes from this , 25 DM per running meter deducted, so that the pure production costs for a new acquisition are around 1.25 DM. In addition, the tiled gutter exceeds the sheet metal gutter in its service life by 2 to 3 times and there are no maintenance costs for it due to protective coating.
A calculation that can be described as cautious therefore results in Using a tiled gutter compared to a pure economic saving the sheet metal gutter of about 8o%.
In the case of a new house, the post comes for external plumbing work thus practically no longer applicable, since the gutters are the lowest in the course of the roof covering Row of tiles to be hung by the roofer.
Since the service life of the tiled gutter is exactly that of the rest of the tiled roof corresponds, a renewal comes before a general roofing as well in failure and can then again be taken over by the roofer.
Then there is another in the context of general economics as a very decisive factor to be seen: for gutters are annually high-quality zinc and lead sheets as well as galvanized internal iron in large '-sengen processed. This necessitates the importation of materials from abroad for valuable ones Currency. The clay roof tiles described here can be found cheaply in all parts of Germany won and burned. This means that the foreign exchange that is released is better Purposes can be used and the valuable sheet metal and iron for more important ones "Purposes becomes free.
Due to the low production and maintenance costs of the interior bricks 'In the future it will also be possible to use every storage shed, every stable and every barn to be provided with a gutter, so that damage to the walls or to the subordinate Materials can be avoided by splashing water.
Mention should also be made of the 'possibility of using the individual interior bricks in their respective execution the manufacturing requirements of the various Adapt brickworks.
