Chairs which can be converted into reclining furniture are known in which at one
Seat part an extension piece each serving as a seat pad and a backrest
attached, e.g. B. are attached. Such chairs require a complicated design
many individual parts and a greater number of fittings if they are made of wood
should be. If the individual parts consist of steel pipes or steel pipe parts,
the production is expensive and not easily possible due to lack of material.
The aim of the invention is to create a simple piece of furniture with a wooden frame,
which is built entirely from a few wooden parts that are as easy to manufacture as possible
and requires little hardware.
The invention is illustrated in the drawing, for example.
It shows Fig. I a side view of the lounge chair according to the invention,
Fig. 2 is a plan view of the same, partly as a seat chair and partly as a deck chair,
3 shows a partial front and partial rear view of the lounge chair.
des Sitzteiles i.
Querstücke io und i i bewirkt. At one end of a seat part i is a serving as a seat pad
Extension piece 2 and a backrest 3 are hinged. Two hinges are used for this
4 on a cross piece 5 or S-shaped straps on the ends of cross bars 6, 7,
between the side bolsters of the seat part i and the extension piece 2. The cross piece
5 and another cross piece 8 are used to connect and stiffen the side walls
of the seat part i. To connect. the side cheeks of the extension piece 2 is used
also a cross piece g. The stiffening of the side parts of the backrest 3 is through
Cross pieces io and i i causes.
According to the invention, the backrest 3 is articulated to (learn seat part i,
that in the folded position it is completely the self-supporting extension of the seat part
i and the extension piece 2 forms the upper edge of these three parts essentially
runs in one plane and the backrest in both end positions by plant
is held on a crosspiece 5.
desselben herabreichende Laufräder 12.According to the invention, the backrest is also by a part 3a to
extends near the lower edge of the chair and carries here to the lower edge
same downward running wheels 12.
hinten verlegt. Sitzteil i, Sitzauflage 2 und Rücken-
In a particular embodiment of the chair, two U-shaped brackets 13, 14 are attached to the seat part i and the seat support 2, advantageously with the bracket legs in mutual extension, in such a way that in the folded state of the seat support 2 this with its lower edge the upper edge of the seat part i lies in one plane and is supported on the bracket 14 in the process. In a further embodiment of the chair, the rear bracket legs of the brackets 13 and 14 are arranged at an angle. This will make the rearmost Support point of the chair further
relocated at the back. Seat part i, seat cover 2 and backrest
backrest 3 are in a known manner with thin transverse
slats, straps or fabric cover (not suitable
draws).
By the arrangement according to the invention
with simple means and using
only four joint parts as fittings made of wood
Chair created that is comfortable for the sitting purpose
is, but at the same time a level,
completely free area with no protruding parts
forms on which mattresses or blankets, also from
wider than the chair
can be and in which the laying down
and the elevation, because by none upwards
standing parts disturbed, can go comfortably.
The deck chair can be used in two directions
be by putting the head of the on the deck chair down
person either on the backrest 3
or comes to rest on the extension pieces.
When the chair is in the position of its parts as
Chair in the direction of arrow A with a slight
system lifting at the front end by pulling further-
is moved is such a movement by means of the
Castors 12 possible, the part 3a of the
Backrest 3 is against (read cross piece 5
and a special locking mechanism for the backrest
is not required for this purpose of transport.
