Description

The invention relates to. a method of making decorative Patterns in a kaleidoscopic composition using pattern rollers. To areas z. B. Interior walls of living rooms, textiles or paper, with decorative patterns pattern rollers were also used in addition to other aids. With With the help of such pattern rollers, single and multi-colored patterns can be produced, by unrolling the individual reports side by side. The surface patterns achieved in this way are always effective in their effect due to the lack of possible variations in the construction options very monotonous.

B. Friese, Pilaster, Rosetten usw., in nahezu unbegrenzter Mannigfaltigkeit herzustellen. In contrast, the method of the present invention provides one unlimited variety of decorative patterns in that from the a mirror image is used for each base roll. With the help of such a Pattern pair it is possible in the simplest way both symmetrical and asymmetrical, but always peculiar patterns, z. B. friezes, pilasters, rosettes etc., in an almost unlimited variety.

In the drawing, the method is shown on the basis of a single basic pattern and the example of a pattern roller apparatus for multicolor printing is shown. Fig. I shows the pattern roller i arranged in a retaining bracket 3; which is inevitably connected to the feed roller 2 by the gear drive q. By appropriately coloring the feed roller, it is possible to reproduce multicolored patterns in one operation. Figure 2 shows individual possibilities for creating a pattern using the base and mirror rollers. a shows the repeat of the base roll, b its mirror image. The combination a to d or a to g show friezes, abef or efgh square symmetrical fillers. Are z. B. continued the arrangements from or cd downwards, creating symmetrical pilasters. Depending on the arrangement of the drawing and depending on whether this z. B. is unrolled from left to right, top to bottom, there are always different: Patterns. Further countless variations in the: Pattern formation are possible through a kaleidoscopic assembly of the patterns by means of a base and mirror roller with the help of cover templates and window templates. Fig. 3 shows such an example, namely the composition of a six-fold rosette. i imprint of the base roll, k imprint of the mirror roll, both rolled from the outside inwards. The sixth field rn is expediently cut out in each case by a cover template, so that the drawing of the pattern roller that goes beyond this is not included in the imprint. Completely different pattern formations arise when z. B. the pattern rollers and mirror rollers are rolled from the inside out or from one side. With the help of appropriately shaped masking templates and various kaleidoscope-like combinations, with skilful use of the coloring, different types of patterns can be created, the effect of which is usually of astonishing originality.
