Adjustable pulley is the subject of the present invention
an adjustable pulley made of two relative to each other in an axial direction
Direction of movable conical plates is formed, of which at least one
is under spring pressure. The invention is characterized in that for the production
This pressure a deeply resilient truncated cone spring is used.
In the known discs of this type, normal coil springs are used
used, which require large projections. Through the present invention
it is possible to accommodate the spring in such a way that it hardly increases the length of the disk
will. In the drawing, FIG. 1 shows the section through an exemplary embodiment
of the subject matter of the invention and FIG. 2 shows the side view of the same. The adjustable one
V-belt pulley is formed by two conical plates i and z between which
the V-belt 3 is running. These two plates can move axially or spread apart,
by moving in opposite directions to each other under the wedge action of the cocked
Belt 3 slide on bush 4. This socket carries the hollow body at its ends
5, on which the two frustoconical springs 6 and 7 with their inner coils
prop up. The outer turns, on the other hand, lie against the plates i and 2 and
press them against each other. If the two plates spread apart, what about
is caused by the fact that the center distance between the driving and
of the driven shaft is enlarged and the V-belt 3 penetrates deeper into the pulley
expediently, they overcome the pressure of the two at the same time
trainees
Truncated cone springs 6 and 7. The section above the center line in Fig. I shows the
Disc in the unexpanded state, the cut below the center line in the expanded state.
In the first case the V-belt 3 runs on the periphery of the pulley, in the second
around the smallest barrel diameter that forms. By spreading the disc
so the belt speed or the speed of the pulley can be regulated.
The socket 4 is expediently closed by a cover 8 in which
a grease nipple 9 is provided. After placing the bushing 4 on the stub shaft
io of the machine, for example an electric motor, is created behind the cover
8 a cavity which is expediently used as a fat storage chamber. At the relative
Movement between plates i and 2 does not change anything if only one of them,
for example the plate i, is arranged to be displaceable, while the plate 2
remains immobile. In this case only one spring 6 would be required. The subject of the invention
thus includes both discs in which both plates wander and two frustoconical springs
are required, as well as those with only one sliding plate and only one
Feather. In the first group it is also conceivable to have only one spring, namely the spring
7 to be designed as a truncated cone spring so that the belt is as close as possible to the motor
to come, while in place of the second frustoconical spring 6 also a conventional helical spring
Could be used. The frustoconical spring can be made of round or flat material
be made, the latter wound over the flat or over the high edge
can be. To achieve that the frustoconical spring as little space as possible in the axial
Direction claimed, it may be useful to use the outer turns
to let deflect beyond the vertical plane of the inner windings, as it is
the lower part of the section in Fig. i shows. At least it may be required
be that in this spread position all the turns on top of each other in the same plane
lie. To achieve that a frustoconical spring made of a material with invariable
Cross-section is made, shows such a suspension property, it is appropriate to
that in her relaxed state the distances between the turns are uneven,
z. B. approximately proportional to the third power of the respective winding radius
are.
The subject matter of the invention relates both to discs for commercially available
V-belt, with normal profiles, the two plates i and 2 in a known manner
may have ribs on their conical surfaces, as well as, as shown in Fig. i,
on pulleys for wide V-belts specially manufactured for regulating purposes.
