Das Schneeschuhschlofs: besteht aus einem Bügel A aus Eisen oder einem sonst hierzu geeigneten Metall, dessen unteres Ende sich in zwei Arme α und b theilt, welche in entsprechende Löcher im Schneeschuh hineingesteckt werden. An denselben wird durch einen Zapfen h ein eigenes Schliefsstück B befestigt, welches sich unten in zwei Arme theilt, durch welche der Zapfen h geht, derart, dafs das Schliefsstück B auf- und niedergeschwungen werden kann. Es ist oben mit einem Auge versehen, durch welches der Arm c des Bügels f gesteckt werden kann und durch einen Splint d befestigt wird, der in einem Schlitz in dem oberen Ende c um einen Zapfen g drehbar angebracht ist. Der Splint d wird durch seine Schwere gehalten, da derselbe auf der einen Seite des Zapfens länger ist als auf der anderen Seite. Der Schlitz e ist nach beiden Seiten des Zapfens g so lang gehalten, dafs der Splint nach beiden Seiten aufgeklappt werden kann und hierdurch das Herausnehmen und Einsetzen des Armes c in das Auge des Schliefsstückes B gestattet.The snowshoe loft: consists of a bracket A made of iron or some other suitable metal, the lower end of which divides into two arms α and b , which are inserted into corresponding holes in the snowshoe.
