Cylinder lock. The well-known cylinder locks with two-part
Guard locking pins are due to the defect that the rotatable lock cylinder (rotor)
after removing the key not always necessarily reliable by the im
Cylinder housing (stature) bearing parts of the tumblers from an unwanted rotary movement
is prevented. There is namely the possibility that the stature is located
and tumbler pins under the influence of small springs, depending on the position
of the rotor, place it on the edge of the holes in the rotor and do not snap into them,
whereby the cylinder, at least in one direction, remains rotatable and the lock
can be operated by unauthorized parties without using the key.

In the drawing, the subject matter of the invention is based on two exemplary embodiments
illustrates, namely Fig. i shows a longitudinal section through a cylinder lock
with additional tumbler, FIG. 2 is a rear view of the same, FIG. 3 is a section
A-B of Fig. I after removal of the key; Fig. 4 shows a cylinder lock with
an enlarged rotor hole and FIG. 5 shows a section C-D of FIG. 4 without a key.
The lock consists in a known manner from the housing (stator) 6, in which
Inside is the rotatable cylinder (rotor) 7. The rotor 7 1 is seated
Longitudinal slot that is used to hold the flat key 8. The rotation of the
The rotor 7 is locked against the stator 6 by two-part locking pins 9,
which are stored in corresponding holes. With small coil springs io the
Locking pins 9 pressed into the bores of the rotor 7. Will now be the key
8 inserted into the rotor 7, the tumblers 9 are through the different
deep notches of the key so far that their dividing line with
that of the stator and rotor 7 is at the same level. The rotor 7 can
then turn. The rotation of the rotor 7 is controlled by an eccentric cam
i i converted into a longitudinal movement of the lock bolt (not shown).
Fig. 3).
in den Schlüss--1-schlitz einzudringen und den Rotor zu sperren (Fig. 3).Since there is a possibility that the rotor 7 when removing the key
assumes a position in which the holes for the tumbler pins 9 in the stator
and the rotor are not exactly on one axis, those in the stator 6 may be
Place tumblers 9 on the edge of the rotor bores (see Fig. 3). The rotor 7
is then not blocked, although the key18 is removed, so that a with the
Cam i i engaging bolt without the use of the key by unauthorized persons
Side can be operated. This is where the invention comes in. One for each case
reliable securing of the rotor is required, an additional hole is required
provided with a spring-action locking bolt 12 in the stator 6.
This bolt 12 has a pin 13 which is thinner than the key slot
in the rotor 7, so that the bolt 12 or its pin 13 even with a possible irregular
Position of the rotor has sufficient opportunity when removing the key 8
to penetrate the key 1 slot and lock the rotor (Fig. 3).
There is another possible embodiment for securing the rotor 7
in that less the hole for a Zulialtungsstift 9 in the rotor a larger one
Has diameter than the opposite hole in the stator 6 (Fig. .5). on
this also makes it impossible for the outer tumbler pin to get caught
made so that a reliable locking of the rotor always occurs as soon as the
Key is withdrawn.
