Mäntel aus wasserundurchlässigem Stoff bedürfen einer wirksamen Belüftung.
Man ist aus diesem Grunde bereits dazu übergegangen, den Mantel im oberen Bereich
mit luftdurchlässigen Stellen zu versehen und diese durch eine Art Koller abzudecken.
Man ging dabei von der Überlegung aus, daß die durch den Körper angewärmte Luft
durch die luftundurchlässigen Bereiche hindurch in den Raum zwischen Manteloberteil
und Koller eintreten und aus diesem unten austreten kann; denn der Koller läßt nächst
seinem unteren Ende einen Zwischenraum zwischen sich und dem Mantel frei.
Tatsache ist jedoch, daß derartige Koller eine wirksame Belüftung nicht eintreten
lassen, und zwar aus dem sehr einfachen Grunde, weil die durch den Körper angewärmte
Luft ein niedrigeres spezifisches Gewicht besitzt als die Kaltluft, dieser gegenüber
einen Auftrieb nach oben besitzt und infolgedessen nicht unten am Koller austritt.
Sie staut sich vielmehr in dem Raum zwischen Manteloberteil und Koller und läßt

Dabei ist der Kragen zweckmäßig durch die Abdeckung getragen. Die Ausmündung des
Raumes am oberen Kragenrand wird dadurch bewerkstelligt, daß zwischen Mantel und
Abdeckung in deren oberstem Bereich trennende Abstandhalter vorgesehen sind. Diese
können durch eine Faltung der Abdeckung in deren oberem Bereich gebildet sein.This is remedied by the present invention in that the

Fall durch eine den Mantelstoff unterbrechende Netzstoffeinlage gebildet sind. Die
luftdurchlässigen Bereiche 2 sind durch eine kollerartige Abdeckung 3, übergriffen,
die auch den Kragen 4 des Mantels trägt. Der Raum 5 zwischen den luftdurchlässigen
Bereichen 2 und der Abdeckung 3 mündet nächst dem oberen Kragenrand 6 nach oben
aus, und zwar deshalb, weil der Koller 3 im oberen Bereich mit den Falten 8 versehen
ist und nur deren eine Lage an den luftdurchlässigen Bereichen 2 befestigt sind.

dafür sorgt, daß die feuchtigkeitsgeschwängerte Luft im Raum 5 fortlaufend entfernt
