Verfahren und Vorrichtung zum Verbrennen von Naphtha .in Brennkraftmaschinen
Im heutigen Verbrennungsmotorenbau werden zwei grundlegende Verbrennungsverfahren
angewendet.
in sehr engen Grenzen.
Method and device for burning naphtha in internal combustion engines
In today's internal combustion engine construction, two basic combustion processes are used
applied. One process, known as the Otto process, uses low-boiling ones
Fuels that are burned by spark ignition in the compression chamber of the cylinder
to be brought. In the Otto process, only low degrees of compression can be used
which result in high fuel consumption. The fuels that can be used
must have special properties and be refined.
The choice of fuels that can be used for the Otto process is changing
within very narrow limits. The other combustion process, known as the diesel process,
uses high-boiling fuels that are self-igniting in high-compression
Air to burn. The combustion can either be in the compression room
of the cylinder, or in a special combustion chamber. The combustion process
with a special combustion chamber are among the Flemings antechamber, air storage
or vortex chamber method known. The high degrees of compression in the diesel process
enable low fuel consumption. Only certain fuels can be used
Types of high boiling oils are used. The high ignition pressures that occur when
Auto-ignition occur in the cylinder, especially with direct fuel injection,
require heavy engine engines that do not allow high engine speeds.
A combustion process with a special combustion chamber is used in the plants
for high-speed internal combustion engines. The combustion process according to the invention
is independent of the type of fuel and is permitted
as well as
the use of low-boiling as well as high-boiling oils as motor fuel.
Due to its independence from the type of fuel, this combustion process
Mixtures of low-boiling and high-boiling oils can be used. The low-boiling ones
Oils in the fuel mixture allow the addition of high-boiling oils,
which previously could not be used as motor fuel. The combustion process
is intended for the use of crude naphtha (petroleum) as motor fuel.
So that the high-boiling oils in the naphtha can burn in a short time, one measured
a certain amount of low-boiling oils must be present in the naphtha. The high pressure and
Temperature rise in the combustion chamber triggered by the combustion of the
low-boiling oils, are the prerequisites for rapid combustion of the high-boiling ones
oils in naphtha. The high ignition pressures that occur in the
Combustion chamber occur are kept away from the cylinder by throttling.
The gas pressure in the cylinder is limited by setting the throttling
causes. The combustion process enables good mixture formation at a faster rate
Burns the fuel and ensures an economical work process.
The arrangement of an external ignition system is not necessary with this combustion process.
auszunutzen. The combustion process according to the invention works in the following manner
in front of you: The fuel is burned in a special combustion chamber,
which is arranged at the upper end of the cylinder. The fuel is through an injector
injected into the combustion chamber and in the highly compressed air for combustion
brought. At the confluence of the combustion chamber in the cylinder is located
an adjustable throttle valve. The task of the throttle valve is to reduce the
high ignition pressures in the combustion chamber during combustion from the cylinder
keep away. For this purpose, the main outflow channel of the throttle valve is like this
long closed until the combustion in the combustion chamber is essentially
is finished. The subsequent expansion of the combustion gases into the cylinder takes place
with gradual opening of the main outflow channel of the throttle valve. The beginning
the unthrottled outflow of combustion gas into the cylinder is so long
delayed until a corresponding enlargement by the downward moving piston
of the cylinder volume has occurred. The desired maximum gas pressure in the cylinder
can be set by changing the opening time of the main discharge duct.
A late opening of the main discharge channel has a lower maximum gas pressure
result in the cylinder. There is an increase in the lower speed ranges of the engine
the maximum gas pressure in the cylinder. This disturbing phenomenon can be caused by later
Injecting the fuel can be avoided. In order to reduce the gas pressure in the
Pre-flow is to avoid cylinders up to the opening of the main exhaust duct
of combustion gas from the combustion chamber is required. The throttle valve measured
therefore have a pre-flow channel or several small pre-flow channels
that a corresponding amount of combustion gas can flow out into the cylinder and
which stays open all the time. During the compression process, the throttle valve
no function to perform. The compressed fresh air flows through the open throttle valve
into the combustion chamber. The compression space in the cylinder becomes as small as possible
designed to have the largest possible amount of fresh air during the combustion in the combustion chamber
to take advantage of.
The throttle valve can be designed in various ways. A
automatic throttle valve is shown schematically in Figs. i, 2 and 3.
The following arrangement is provided for the automatic throttle valve: In the middle
of the cylinder head i is the combustion chamber 2 with fuel injector
3. The automatic throttle valve is located at the lower end of the combustion chamber.
It consists of the loosely movable throttle ring 4 with pre-flow channels 5, the
adjustable throttle ring holder 6, the throttle plate 7, the adjustable throttle body
8 and the deflector g. The throttle body with deflector is in the middle of the piston crown
io arranged. The throttle ring performs an upward and downward stroke movement,
which, towards the end of the compression process, due to the overpressure in the cylinder or
triggered by the overpressure in the combustion chamber when ignition starts
will. The stroke limitation of the throttle ring takes place in its lower position
through the throttle ring holder and in its upper position through the throttle plate.
The stroke of the throttle ring can be adjusted by turning the throttle ring holder
will. The height of the throttle body above the piston crown is also adjustable
and is effected by rotating the throttle body.
Drosselring zu vermeiden (Abb. i).
The operation of the automatic throttle valve is as follows: When
During the compression process, the fresh air flows through the open throttle valve into the
Combustion chamber (Fig.3). Towards the end of the compression process, the
Throttle body with deflector the throttle ring, which is in its lower position
is located and begins to throttle the flow of fresh air into the combustion chamber.
The throttle ring is loosened from its seat due to the overpressure in the cylinder
lifted in the throttle ring holder and pressed against the throttle plate. The throttle ring
remains in this position until ignition starts (Fig. i). In the area of the upper
Piston dead center is the throttle body with deflector in the lower part of the throttle valve
inserted and begins to close the main exhaust duct. The height of the throttle body
above the piston head is set so that in the
top dead center
there is still a small distance to prevent the throttle body from hitting the
Avoid throttle ring (Fig. I). The onset of ignition triggers in the combustion chamber
a sharp rise in pressure. The small flow cross-sections between throttle bodies
and Prosselring as well as the pre-flow channels, which the throttle valve when starting
Releases ignition to the cylinder, throttle the pressure spread in the cylinder chamber.
The pressure propagation therefore remains essentially restricted to the combustion chamber.
As a result, a strong overpressure is created in the combustion chamber. The top
of the throttle ring is fully exposed to the effect of the overpressure and has to
Result that the throttle ring by the overpressure from its upper position to the
Throttle body is pressed. The main outflow channel is now closed and you can
only small amounts of combustion gas flow into the cylinder through the pre-flow ducts
(Fig. 2). The throttle ring goes down together with the piston until it opens
its seat in the throttle ring holder. At this moment the opening begins
of the main outflow duct. The combustion gases can now pass through the first throttled,
in the further course through the unthrottled main exhaust duct into the cylinder
flow in (Fig. 3). To avoid contact with the throttle ring by the
outflowing gas jet is the throttle plate with a correspondingly narrow bore
executed. The vertically flowing out gas jet is formed conically through the
Top of the deflector deflected evenly on all sides of the cylinder wall.
The deflector is made of fire-resistant and heat-insulating material.
