Um das Gewicht dieser Steine, die in größerem Format angefertigt werden, zu vermindern, und um sie bequem absprengen zu können, sind zwischen den Vorsprüngen und Vertiefungen durchgehende Aussparungen vorgesehen, deren Seitenflächen zweckmäßig schräg zu den Steinseiten verlaufen und in Trennfugen zusammenstoßen, die rings um den Stein verlaufen.
