Description

Es ist bekannt, derartige Walzen entweder mit einem Gummiüberzug zu versehen oder sie in massivem Edelstahl auszuführen. Beide Arten sind von Nachteil. Die Haltbarkeit vonGummiüberzügen ist sehr begrenzt, und die Herstellung massiver Edelstahlwalzen ist außerordentlich kostspielig. Gegenstand der Erfindung ist es nun, solche Walzen aus gewöhnlichem Material, wie Flußstahl, herzustellen und mit einem dünnwandigen Überzug aus Edelstahl, nahtlos oder geschweißt, auf dein Grundkörper, z. B. einem starkwandigen Flußstahlrohr, zu versehen. Kriterium ist, daß der Überzug warm auf den kalten Kern, den Walzengrundkörper, aufgebracht wird. Der Überzug kann so exakt und sauber aufgezogen werden. Zwischen Walzenkern und Überzug wird eine dichte, innige Verbindung erzielt. :huch bei Walzen größeren Durchmessers braucht gemäß der Erfindung nur sehr wenig für die Bearbeitung zugegeben werden.
