The invention relates to a plastic barrel designed in the form of a wooden barrel for receiving of liquids, with a handle and a screw cap opening on the top surface of the plastic keg.

There are plastic barrels known which have a smooth edge surface both above and below, so that several similar containers can be stacked on top of one another. The recess 6 is designed so that it can receive a handle 3 of another container when two containers of the same type are stacked on top of one another. The same applies to the screw cap and the associated recess J ₁ , the recess 7 being dimensioned so large that not only the closure but also the screwed-on screw cap can be accommodated.

The recess 6 is therefore an essentially elongated trough-shaped recess, whereas the recess 7 is more or less cylindrical and is open to the outside is.
