Beim Niedergang des Stempels mufs die verticale Bewegung eine geradlinige sein, während die Aufwärtsbewegung eine schraubenförmige ist. Die verschiedenen Schnitte durch die Spindel (Fig. 6) erläutern die Nuthenanordnung bei einem Stempelpaar.
