In den Prefsrahmen d wird eine Prefsplatte c eingelegt; hierauf wird der Rahmen mit der zu pressenden Masse e voll gefüllt und letztere abgestrichen. Das Ganze wird auf die zum Prefstisch ausgebildete Gradführung b bis unter den Stempel i, welcher am Kopfstück A befestigt ist, geschoben. Wird jetzt durch Hand oder mechanischen Antrieb an der Stange h gezogen, so wird der Kniehebel gf gestreckt. Hierbei wird zunächst der mit f durch ein Scharnier verbundene Prefsstempel α gehoben, welcher nun unter die Prefsplatte c in die Form eintritt, und zwar bis zum Anliegen des Ansatzes α an die Gradführung b (s.
