erfolgt
bei Temperaturen, die zwischen - 5 und -!- 30° liegen.Process for the manufacture of sulphonation products Die as a substitute
Sulphonation products proposed for soaps or other soap-like substances
of fats, oils and fatty substances such as fatty alcohols are often found in cold
Water too sparingly soluble and as a result only deliver at ordinary temperature
exceptionally perfectly clear solutions. Also, these sulfonates don't always have
Sufficient resistance in boiling treatment baths and against hardness builders
of service water. It has now been found that these disadvantages are eliminated and excellent
sulfonated fatty substances are obtained, which are both readily soluble in cold water
as well as against the hardness components of water in the cold and also in the heat
Are resistant - when you put unsaturated fatty alcohols together. with such unsaturated
Sulphonated compounds like castor oil or castor alcohol except for a double bond
also contain a hydroxyl group. The sulfonation
he follows
at temperatures between - 5 and -! - 30 °.
Hierauf läßt man allmählich go bis g5 kg
The sulfonated fatty substances obtainable by the present process, in contrast to the previously known sulfonation products of fatty meats, whose solubility and resistance properties are by no means sufficient in all cases, result in clear and stable liquors in the cold and in the heat, even when used low concentrations and when using hard service water. These sulfonated fatty substances are intended to be used for all purposes in which soaps or soap-like agents are used alone or in conjunction with other known substances, in particular for wetting, washing, dispersing and emulsifying purposes. Example 1 - 50 kg of castor alcohol with an acetyl saponification number of 28 °, a saponification number of 7 and an iodine number of 85 are mixed with 50 kg of oleic alcohol (iodine number 92) and cooled to -5 '. This is followed by gradually running in up to 5 kg of sulfuric acid (98% strength) and the temperature slowly rising to 30 ° during the sulfonation. After the fatty alcohol has run in, the mixture is stirred for a further 2 to 3 hours and a sample is then used to check whether the sulfonation has been carried out completely. As soon as this is the case, the appropriate amount of caustic soda is used to neutralize it until it is weakly alkaline. The available light yellow paste is adjusted to a fat content of 30% and, with a content of 0.5 g of sulfonate per liter of water of 30 ° dH, still provides stable liquors. Even with a content of 2 g of sulfonate per liter, clear solutions are obtained in the cold.

Consists of 70 kg of olefin: ohol (j @@ dzalil 02 and 30 kg of castor oil (first pressing) reinforced. The temperature can slowly rise to 30 °. When all the fat is added to the sulfuric acid, stirring is continued for another hour After this addition, the sulfonation is regularly ended. It can be neutralized as usual. For this, an average of 10 5 kg of 3S% sodium hydroxide solution is required. The available paste is then adjusted to a fat content of 30%.
