Description
It is known that when video films are broadcast on television, the amount transmitted per unit of time Select the number of television images greater than the one rolling in the same time unit Number of film frames.
It has also been proposed to televise film images to make beam image scanner by means of a storing cathode in such a way that in the pauses between the individual television images, the film images are projected onto the memory scanner and that the film advance takes place during the scanning and remote transmission of the television images.
She solves this task in such a way that certain film frames, each through at least one other film frame are separated from each other, each projected several times onto the memory scanner and are scanned just as often while the film frames that are between the first mentioned lie, also several times, and in the same way
oft oder verschieden oft wie die ersterwähnten Bilder, projiziert und abgetastet werden.often or differently often like the first mentioned Images to be projected and scanned.
An embodiment of the invention, which presupposes an interlaced transmission with two lines per image, will be described below with reference to the drawing: It is assumed that there are 24 images on a film strip to be scanned. At time AB the first image is projected onto the memory scanner, and at time B 1 when the scanning process begins, the image projection is interrupted; During the time BC , the charge image in the memory scanner is then scanned for the first time and the first line of the first television image is thus transmitted; During the time CD , the return of the scanning beam takes place in the scanner, which is blocked during this time. At the same time, the same film image is projected again; at time D the projection is interrupted again; while the second line of the first film frame is being transmitted in the time DE , the film is advanced by one frame height, and the second film frame thus comes into the picture window. During the time EF the second film image is projected, and during the time FG the first line of this image is scanned and transmitted remotely. This is followed by another projection of the same film image in the time GH and the scanning and transmission of the second line of the second film image in the time HI. In the time / - / the second film image is projected again, in the time YES it is scanned again in one line and transmitted remotely and at the same time the third film image is advanced into the image window. From now on, the cycle described is repeated in such a way that the third image is projected during AB, and so on.
In order to carry out this operation, one only has to use the Maltese cross gear of a film image projector in such a way that every second film image by 50% lingers longer in the image window than any first. With the method of operation described, one achieves that a film with 24 frames per second can be remotely transmitted in 60 lines which corresponds to a frame rate of 30 in the case of the interlace method.
To carry out the. A diaphragm disk is also advantageously used for scanning, i which is driven by the film drive motor and by means of openings made in it releases the projection beam path from the film projector to the memory scanner. This diaphragm disk can be used at the same time to generate the synchronization pulses for changing lines, images or lines to electro-optical! Ways to produce.
