KAISERLICHESIMPERIAL PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE. Die in beiliegender Zeichnung in zwei Figuren in der Gesammtanordnung und im Einzelnen dargestellte Vorrichtung A bezweckt die Abführung der Kanalgase aus den an den Häusern befindlichen Abfallröhren, sowie den Temperaturausgleich zwischen diesen Röhren und der äufseren Atmosphäre. Dieselbe soll vorzugsweise in der Hauptabfallleitung zwischen jedes Stockwerk eingeschaltet werden und besteht der Hauptsache nach aus einem mit Klappen versehenen, knieförmigen Zwischenrohrstück a, dessen Enden mit der Hauptleitung in Verbindung stehen und dessen Klappen b und bl derart angeordnet sind, dafs sie den Abzug des Abfallwassers gestatten, die sich in den Röhren entwickelnden Gase aber zurückhalten. Zur Ableitung dieser Gase sind die zur Klappenlagerung dienenden oberen Wandflächen des Zwischenrohrstückes durchbrochen, so dafs das Röhreninnere durch Aufsätze oder Dunsthüte c und C1 mit der äufseren Luft in Verbindung steht.
