Description

Up to now, cinema projectors have always sought to keep the picture window to illuminate as evenly as possible in the plane through which the film passes. For Mech a u even proposed an arrangement for projectors with optical compensation which illuminates the moving film in sync with the optical compensation lets migrate.

It has now been found that cinema projectors with optical compensation such aids can be dispensed with if there is a sharp, real image in the image window Image of a light source which, in a manner known per se, consists of several parallel filaments (Coils) is designed in such a way that the images of these filaments are perpendicular running to the direction of the film, the image. cover windows. Because the movie moves steadily towards the film window in cinema projectors with optical compensation, This is because in this case, to a certain extent, a rasterization of the image occurs, its line frequency can easily be placed so high that their perceptibility to the eye disappears.

Fig. i stellt das Fadensystem i einer Projektionslampe 2 dar. The figures illustrate in a schematic representation an embodiment of the invention. Fig. I shows the thread system i of a projection lamp 2. This thread system is an image window comprising approximately two images given congruent shape. The thread system i, which consists of eight parallel spirals, is shown in FIG. 2 by means of the condenser 3 in the image window 4 in such an enlargement sharply mapped that it fills this image window 4 in the manner of FIG. How one recognizes, the longitudinal axes of the individual spirals are perpendicular to the direction of travel P of the film F. Since the film F is illuminated against this during projection If the grid moves, it is scanned line by line from this grid, as it were, and at the same time in eight continuous lines. When using the usual number of picture changes from 24 images per second this results in a line frequency of 24 X 8 = 192. Instead of one below the other, incandescent filaments can of course also be arranged one below the other Gas discharge lamps with a corresponding constricted arc (high pressure mercury vapor arc lamps) step. Furthermore, you can adapt the light source image to the shape of the image window can of course also be achieved optically, for example by Insertion of cylindrical lenses, «-which the image of the light source to similar forms, as shown in Fig. i, distort. You can then use common Light sources work.

The decisive advantage of the arrangement according to the invention is there in the achieved, apparently particularly favorable use of the available light, which makes it possible to get by with weaker light sources than before.
