Das Möbel besteht aus den auf vier Füfsen ruhenden Lä'ngszargen α und Querzargen b; an ersteren sind die beiden Theile c und d der Tischplatte durch die Scharniere ef drehbar befestigt. An dem Theil c ist bei 0 die Leiste η und bei g ebenso die Platte h drehbar befestigt, während der Theil d eine Stutzleiste i besitzt. Im geschlossenen Zustande (als Tisch) liegen die Theile c und d waagrecht neben einander, die Platte h liegt umgeklappt unter der Platte c in den Ausschnitten r der Zargen b. Die Platte d wird hierbei durch die Riegel k und / gehalten und hält auch gleichzeitig mittels der Riegel m die Platte c fest. Zur Umwandlung in ein Pult löst man die Riegel k und / durch Druck auf den Knopf Z₁, stellt die Platte d um f aufrecht, dreht die Platte c um e, klappt dann die Platte h um g nach oben heraus, legt dieselbe auf die Leiste i gegen die Platte d, dreht zuletzt noch die Leiste η um 0 nach oben, und das Pult ist fertig gestellt (Fig. 3). Zur Umwandlung in einen Tisch verfährt man umgekehrt.
. Auf der Platte h sind Fächer für Bücher, ein Federhalterträger, ein Tintenbehälter angebracht. Die Fächer besitzen ein oberes Brett Zj₁ und der Federhalterträgerp nach der Zeichnung (Fig. 4 und 5) gebogene Drähte p,, damit beim Umlegen der Platte h die Bücher und Federhalter nicht hinausfallen können. Das Tirttenfafs hat eine selbstthätige Vorrichtung, welche dasselbe öffnet, wenn die Platte h gegen die Platte d gedrückt wird, und umgekehrt dasselbe sogleich wieder schliefst. Hinter dem Tintenfafs q liegt nämlich ein um das Scharnier u drehbarer Winkelhebel t mit Verschlufskonus s. An der Unterseite des Brettes h liegt der Hebel t in einer Führung ν und wird der erstere durch diese Führung ν mittels der Feder W_x mit dem Konus s auf das Tintenfafs q fest aufgedrückt (Fig. 6 und 7). Sobald jedoch die Platte h bei der Herstellung des Pultes gegen d gedrückt wird, drückt der Hebel y mit der Rolle \ die Führung ν durch die Doppelhebel χ und n> nach vorn, wodurch der Hebel t mit Konus s von dem Tintenfafs q entfernt und letzteres dadurch geöffnet wird (Fig. 8 und 9).
