Solche Schutzschichten lassen sich durch Lacke herstellen, die aber den Nachteil haben, daß sie das Glas beim .auftragen anquellen und sich so innig mit der Oberfläche verbinden, daß ein Ablösen eines solchen Schutzfilms unmöglich wird.
