Description
Process for lightening dyeings with cellulose acetate dyes on structures made of super polyamides, their copolymers, super polyurethanes or on cellulose acetate The need to lighten the colorations on structures Super polyamides, their copolymers, super polyurethanes or from cellulose acetate with cellulose acetate dyes occurs relatively often when dyeing according to pattern one, because the goods are due to excessive dye additives over the depth of the original or their tone is colored out. Sufficient whitening is difficult because the coloring is real. The water-insoluble ones used for coloring cellulose acetate Dyes that are partly azo dyes and partly anthraquinone dyes provide on structures made of polyamides, polyamide copolymers, polyurethanes and cellulose acetate dyeings that are washable and waterfast. Even saturated colors can be passed through Hot laundry or hot water do not or hardly lighten. So you had to Destroy dark colorations with reducing or oxidizing agents or color the goods black. Large ones are needed to destroy the dye Amounts of reducing or oxidizing agents, e.g. B. basic zinc formaldehyde sulfoxylate in hot, acidic baths or in cold ones, carefully made slightly acidic with acetic acid Sodium hypochlorite solution. Also a two-bath process with smaller amounts of basic Zinc formaldehyde sulfoxylate in the first bath and weakly acidic sodium hypochlorite solution in the second bath is sometimes used. These peeling methods are based on the stained Buildings from polyamides are generally less effective than the colored structures made from cell silose acetate. The structures can be damaged by the stripping agents suffer, especially from the acidified sodium hypochlorite solution. Also remain Decomposition substances the dyes on the goods, which are often different in color than the required shade and therefore interfere with re-dyeing in such a way that clear color tones may not be achieved can be.
Strappy stockings made from polyamide fibers dyed with cellulose acetate are colored, to dye again evenly, is according to the American patent .2: 22o 129 proposed, with distribution agents such as soap, Turkish red oil, higher molecular weight Alkyl sulfates or sulfonates, octadecylaminoethanesulfonic acid, octadecylo: xyethanesulfonic acid, alkyl-substituted aromatic sulfonic acids or sulfonated naphthalene-formaldehyde condensation compounds to work. This patent makes the leveling power of the bodies mentioned benefit, d. H. the removal of small amounts of dye from polyamide fibers that are too darkly colored and then immediately following it up again on polyamide fibers that have remained too light in the same bath. In contrast. this causes the new one described below Process of removing significant amounts of dye from the bleached or unevenly colored Goods and their retention in the aqueous solution, preventing a stronger one Rewinding.
It has been found that a lightening of those with cellulose acetate dyes produced dyeings on structures made of polyamides or on cellulose acetate achieved if one uses the reaction products of ethylene oxide as a lightening agent organic compounds containing one or more oxy groups, but no low molecular weight monohydric aliphatic alcohols or carbohydrates are used.
For example, the reaction products of 20 mol are useful Äthylenoxv d on i 31o1 octadecyl alcohol, furthermore the products of action of Ethylene oxide on stearic acid, oleic alcohol, castor oil or oleic acid. The production the ether to be used according to the invention is described in patent specification 605,973. The aids dissolve one more in an aqueous bath at an elevated temperature or less of the absorbed cellulose acetate dyes from the fiber and thus allow sufficient lightening of the colorations for many purposes without the use of reducing or oxidizing, dye destroying and the Agents endangering fiber strength. The effect is greater on polyamides than on Cellulose acetate.
One can intensify the lightening by using aqueous emulsions used which, in addition to the aforementioned reaction products, are also derivatives of high molecular weight Contain fatty acids. So is z. B. a mixing ring, which consists of 9 parts of the Product of action of 6 moles of ethylene oxide on 1 mole of stearic acid and from one Part of the product of the action of 20 moles of ethylene oxide on 1 mole of octodecyl alcohol consists. An even stronger dye detachment causes a mixture, which is made up 2 parts of stearyl biguanide and 1 part of the product of action of 2o 1Io1 ethylene oxide composed of 1 mole of octodecyl alcohol.
B. i : ioo, ist günstig. The mixture is melted over a small flame or by hanging a bucket in boiling water, gradually adding small amounts of hot water and stir until all the water is bound. The obtained milky The emulsion is diluted with hot and then with cold water as required. The whitening bath for polyamides contains 0.5 to 10 g of the whitening agent per liter of water. A long one Liquor ratio, e.g. B. i: ioo, is cheap. You go with the one that has become too dark Colored at about 50 °, heated to 9o to 95 ° and treated at this temperature '14 to i hour. The lightened goods are immediately rinsed thoroughly with hot or hot soaped and dyed to the desired shade in a fresh bath.
The lightening begins at around 60 ° and increases as the temperature rises and duration too. The detachment of the cellulose acetate dyes is adjustable and works in the case of polyamides up to almost complete removal, in the case of cellulose acetate fibers up to about 75% of the dyes used for dyeing. The dyer still has that The advantage is that the lightening is almost always done in the same or very similar shade and that the process can be terminated quickly if the depth of the demand is made Hue is achieved. This makes dyeing easier and faster Pattern possible.
Goods made of glossy cellulose acetate are processed at Sun up to 85 °, to avoid impairing the gloss. Since on cellulose acetate the releasing Effect is weaker than on polyamide, rich shades can repeat the Treatment in a second fresh bath for the greatest possible lightening make necessary.
The advantages of the procedure lie in the complete protection of the Fiber, in the gradual lightening of the color without destruction of the dye and without major Change in color and in its simplicity with maximum operational reliability.
The goods are treated as loose fibers, threads, yarns or twists and mainly as knitted or woven goods. The process is explained in more detail in the following examples. Example i 5 kg of a knitted fabric made from ε-caprolactam polymer are obtained after dyeing with 4% of a yellow, water-insoluble cellulose acetate dye of the following formula Lightened as follows: The dyed goods are placed in a fresh bath with 500 liters of water at about 5o °, which contains 125o g of the mixture of 2 parts of stearyl biguanide and 1 part of the product of action of 20 moles of ethylene oxide to 1 mole of octadecyl alcohol. The emulsion is prepared as described above. It is allowed to run in the reel vat, the temperature is increased to 90 ° to 95 ° and treated for 1/4 to 1 hour at this temperature until sufficient lightening is achieved. Immediately rinse several times with hot water or soapy with hot water. Example: 25 kg of a fabric made of matt cellulose acetate, which is dyed with 4 of the dye given in example i, is placed in a fresh bath with 500 liters of water at about 50 ° which contains 500 g of the whitening agent given in example i. After the goods have passed through the bath, the temperature is increased to 80 ° to 85 ° and treated at this temperature until the excess dye has dissolved. Immediately rinse several times with hot water or soapy with hot water.
