Process for carrying out the catalytic synthesis of hydrocarbons
from C 0 and H2 according to Fischer-Tropsch The catalytic synthesis of hydrocarbons is well known
from carbon oxide and hydrogen according to Fis, Cher-Tropsch very temperature-sensitive,
by increasing the yield even with relatively small increases in temperature
higher-boiling hydrocarbons in favor of undesirable low-boiling,
methane in particular, is falling sharply and the catalysts become less effective
lose. The very large amounts of heat released during implementation have to go through
an extremely effective cooling that prevents any local temperature increase
, which is why the catalyst is only in very thin, limited by cooling surfaces
Layers can be applied. As a result, they are suitable for large-scale implementation
. The reaction devices used in hydrocarbon synthesis are very complicated
and expensive.
Reaktionsprodukten enthalten. It has now been found that the catalytic synthesis of hydrocarbons
from CO and H2 according to Fischer-Tropsch with significantly fewer difficulties with regard to
the heat dissipation can be carried out when the reaction gas is diluted with end gases
which is still substantial amounts of vaporous, especially volatile
Contain reaction products.

sogar etwas ansteigt. Weiter wurde eine Schonung des Kontaktes beobachtet,
die auf geringere Überhitzung schließen läßt. Dieser Befund, (aß trotz gleicher
oder sogar erhöhter Rauin-Zeit-Ausbeute, also gleicher abzuführender Wärmemenge,
bleibt. In contrast to these assertions made by the most authoritative sources, it has now been found in large-scale technical experiments that diluting the synthesis gas with residual oil, which still contains significant amounts of effluent, especially highly volatile reaction products, has very significant advantages for the synthesis. At first it was established that the space-time yield by no means decreases, but remains unchanged or, depending on the test results, even increases somewhat. A protection of the contact was also observed, which suggests less overheating. This finding (despite the same or even increased Rauin time yield, i.e. the same amount of heat to be dissipated, the contact suffers less from overheating, is likely to be due to the fact that the main reaction is not like) gei undiluted gas in a relatively small section of the long contact layer takes place, but is distributed more evenly over the entire length of the contact layer, so that (the temperature maximum occurring in the main reaction zone is significantly flattened. Since the service life of the contact depends on the height of the maximum, the dilution increases the service life accordingly. Since the cooling is now adjusted to this maximum, the contact load can be increased with the same cooling. Finally, the experiments have shown that the dilution of the reaction gas is a convenient means of changing the composition of the reaction products, because it turns out that that with increasing dilution the gasoline yield e increases sharply at the expense of oil formation, while the amount of lightest products (gasol and methane) remains unchanged.
