Description
The invention consists in an improvement and further development of the subject matter of the main patent forming process for the transmission of modulated high frequency. According to the main patent, both sidebands are used for the low madulation frequencies transmit only one string of strings completely and for the high modulation frequencies, such that the harmonics of the modulation frequencies transmitted only by one sideband fall outside the modulation frequency range to be transmitted. A well-known measure against overstaffing of the ether by the too large number of radio stations consists in the suppression of one of the. both 'side ligaments. The main two difficulties associated with this are: First, it is difficult to find the low notes in the right one. To include magnitude in the modulation, and secondly arise in the case of linear Rectification to a greater extent, the deeper the modulation, as the distortion product higher harmonics. The deep tones are particularly feared: First, because these are usually the most pronounced are, and secondly, because their higher harmonics are largely in the listening area fall.
The higher notes are less impressed generally much 3c and usually form the timbre-determining components.
It is also known to make the modulation of a transmitter in such a way that the Sum of the amplitudes of two symmetrical to the carrier frequency lying sidewall frequencies is constant.
With the subject matter of the main patent it is achieved that in the case of linear rectification the lower notes are not distorted by higher harmonics.
Wenn mit normalen, sogenannten linear gleichrichtenden Rundfunkempfängern emp-When the energy of the low notes is distributed over two sidebands and the energy of the higher tones is in a single sideband, depending on the rectification method, one must that is used in the relevant receiving devices, the strength ratio between the bass and of the high frequency modulation ". If with normal, so-called linear rectifying radio receivers
Dieses Stärkeverhältnis kann man experimentell einstellen.is caught, it is advisable to regulate the strength ratio mentioned accordingly. This strength ratio can be set experimentally.
One can assume that the strength of one of the side bands is related to the higher notes ; must be about twice as large as each of the two sidebands that reproduce the low tones, since these two are added during the rectification.
According to the invention, the method for the transmission of modulated high frequency through quality radio transmitters and broadcast systems carried out with a reduced bandwidth according to • 5 the main patent in such a way that that the modulation frequencies are divided into low and high tones and either the carrier wave itself or initially an intermediate frequency with the high tones ao the single sideband method and with the low notes according to the double sideband method is modulated. In this way one achieves that the low notes in the usual Way can be modulated so that no difficulties arise during the high tones because of their increased distance from the carrier wave to a carrier wave can be modulated at a much higher frequency without the output of the a collateral ligament encounters insurmountable difficulties. This high frequency Carrier wave can be an intermediate frequency or the desired carrier frequency itself.
This depends on the circumstances, such as the wavelength that is being modulated, and from the point where you make the separation between the low and high notes. Because the carrier frequency on which the high tones are modulated, can itself be much higher, one escapes the difficulty that higher harmonics of the Modulation tones appear noticeably in the modulation. It is useful to use double sideband modulation of the low tones so weak that the one side band with the high tones has no carrier wave can be added. Overall, there is then a sufficiently strong carrier wave of the required phase.
Where the division of the low frequency band into a part with the high notes and in a part with the low notes cannot be done in a rectangular shape and the dividing line runs obliquely, it is desirable to take this fact into account in the modulation in that the two are oblique limited frequency areas overlap each other.
