Das auf beiliegender Zeichnung dargestellte Schirmgestell bleibt aufgespannt bezw. geschlossen, ohne eine Befestigung des die inneren Scharniere tragenden Stückes am Schirmstock. Es wird hierdurch der Stock nicht geschwächt und die Handhabung des Schirmes wesentlich erleichtert. Die Stäbe α zum Aufspannen des Bezuges sind wie gewöhnlich oben in einem Scharnierring b befestigt. In der Mitte jedes Stabes α sind die Spannstäbe c in dem denselben umfassenden Scharnier d befestigt. Eine stabförmige Feder i liegt in der Nuth des Stabes α unter dem abgerundeten Kopf des Spannstabes c und wird durch zwei umfassende Ringe ff, welche angelöthet sind, festgehalten.The umbrella frame shown in the accompanying drawing remains open or. closed without an attachment of the piece carrying the inner hinges to the umbrella pole.
