Film Conveyor The invention relates to a film conveyor
on devices of the known type in which its large toothed conveyor drum
(at least 8-image reel) is provided, with one sector of the conveyor drum
used for film feed and the opposite sector for film removal
is. The invention consists in the application of the combination of two features
Devices of this known type. These two characteristics stand out for themselves as well
are already known, are as follows: r. The distances between the teeth of the `conveyor drum
are an integer multiple, preferably twice the spacing of the
holes provided in the film for engaging the teeth; 2. that of the conveyor drum
directly adjacent guide means (rollers, pins) are stationary in ein.das
easy insertion of the film allowing distance from the circumference of the conveyor drum attached.
The advantage achieved with the invention resides in the following.
Because the conveyor drum is used for double-sided promotion, must. the bow on
the conveyor drum on which the film rests can be chosen to be relatively small.
If further the film guide means in a manner known per se in such a large way
Distance from the
Conveyor drum are arranged that the film in easier
Can be pushed in from the side, it is assumed that the roll diameter is the same,
the sheet available on the conveyor drum for the application of the film
even smaller. With this reduction of the wrap angle of the film on the
Conveyor drum is the risk of jumping out of the film as a result of z. B. by
Increased shrinkage of irregularities in the hole spacing. The application
the feature mentioned in the first place, namely the omission of teeth on the
Conveyor drum as a means of reducing the risk of jumping out, so has
particular importance especially with the devices of the kind explained, with which also
the second feature, namely the arrangement of the guide means
in a large. ßeren distance from the conveyor drum is realized.
der Zähnezahl in bezug auf die Zahnlochzahl und eine bestimmte Mindestgröße (8-Bild-Rolle:;
The reduction in the risk of the film popping out by leaving out teeth on the conveyor drum is achieved as follows. By reducing the number of teeth compared to the existing holes in the film, the forces to be transmitted are distributed to fewer points of application, provided that the drum diameter is the same, but the film does not crack due to poor tooth engagement because it is not in a tooth hole The meshing tooth only lifts the film by about half the angle, measured on the closest properly meshing tooth, than a film that does not engage in a tooth hole would with half the tooth spacing. With half the tooth spacing, the film length is between the correctly engaging tooth and the adjacent tooth that does not intervene due to film shrinkage and therefore lifts the film, but only half as large not engaging tooth There is a greater risk of the film slipping off the adjacent tooth, which is still properly engaged, and thus the risk of initiating the springing out. On the other hand, in not exactly fitting tooth holes at a certain constant pulling force to übcrtvindende frictional force to Aufdrückung of the film on the bad engaging Z, s ähne easily applied tar to 'as the number of bad engaging teeth is only half as large. The number of vibrations of the film is also reduced by half as a result of the measure according to the invention, so that a minimum of - film stress is achieved. Image reel:; the conveyor drum proved to be the most favorable. However, it is quite conceivable to make the whole number ratio of the number of teeth to the number of teeth per longitudinal unit even smaller in the case of very large conveyor drums for normal film devices.
It is conceivable that a diameter. the conveyor drum is sufficient
in which only the absolutely necessary number of teeth is in engagement, so that of
the omission of teeth can be dispensed with; the type according to the invention means
so in this case no advantage. with regard to reducing the risk of
Jumping out. However, there are cases where the choice is made for other reasons
a conveyor drum with a particularly large diameter is recommended when this conveyor drum
to be used for conveying the film back and forth. For example, the conveyor drum
adjacent loops are not pushed arbitrarily close together if between
them, as in the example discussed below, -ein for looping
used housing is arranged in which an optical deflection device o.
Like. Is housed. Also z. B. the accommodation of a special gripper
or associated drive links between the loops adjacent to the conveyor drum
require a large diameter conveyor drum when this conveyor drum at the same time
is used to convey the film back and forth. In all such cases the
Construction according to the invention, the advantages explained.
