Bei den Pumpen für condensirbare Gase, wie flüssige schweflige Säure, Ammoniak, Kohlensäure etc., macht sich der schädliche Raum, der durch die Anordnung der Ventile an den Pumpencylindern sich ergiebt, besonders bemerkbar. Diesen schädlichen Raum auf ein Minimum zu beschränken, dient die nachfolgend beschriebene und in der Zeichnung in Fig. ι bis 6 dargestellte Anordnung, deren charakteristisches Merkmal darin besteht, dafs die Saug- und Druckventile im Boden des Pumpencylinders in ungefähr gleicher Höhe conaxial angeordnet sind, d. h. also das eine das andere umschliefst.
