Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung sind Verbesserungen an dem unter Nr. 56062 geschützten Walkfasse. Bei diesem erfolgt die Zu- und Abführung von Heizdampf zu dem an den Stirnflächen des Walkfasses befindlichen Rohrsystem durch die hohle Achse des Walkfasses, mittelst deren es in den Lagern rotirt, und zwar erfolgt die Zuführung und die Abführung auf der einen Seite des Walkfasses durch die dort befindliche Achse, wodurch eine ziemlich bedeutende Dimension dieses Zapfens bedingt ist. Bei dieser Anordnung ist ein Undichtwerden des Dampfmantels nach dem inneren Raum des Fasses hin absolut ausgeschlossen und somit die gröfste Sicherheit gegen ein Beschädigen des Inhalts des Walkfasses durch den Heizdampf gegeben.
