Obwohl dieser Kaminaufsatz überlegene Zugverbesserungseigenschaften aufweist, konnte er sich auf dem Markt nicht durchsetzen, weil insbesondere der Deckel verschiedene Nachteile aufwies* Aufgrund seiner bikonvexen Scheibenform ist die Herstellung dieses konvexen Deckels in der vorgeschlagenen massiven Bauweise nur mittels einer besonderen Gießform möglich und deshalb teuer.
