Es handelt sich um eine Leuchte, die nicht nur einen Gebrauchsgegenstand darstellt, sondern gleichzeitig als Lichtplastik angesprochen werden kann. Eine Halbkugel aus einem thermoplastischen Kunststoff oder Kunststoffglas ruht lose, deshalb auch schwenkbar, auf einem Ring oder Rohr aus PVC oder Kunststoffglas. In der Mitte der durchsichtigen oder farbigen Halbkugel ist auf einem PVC-Rohr von ungefähr dem Durchmesser der Fassung einer normalen Glühbirne (Lampe) eine Fassung mit einer kopfverspiegelten Lampe angebracht. Der ganze Raum innerhalb der Halbkugel ist mit verschieden verformtem Kunststoffglas verschiedenster Farben ausgefüllt. Diese Teile sind untereinander verklebt oder verschweißt. Es sind meist streifige Stücke, die über die Höhe und den Rand der Halbkugel hinausragen. Mit der kopfverspiegelten Lampe wird der Effekt erzeugt, daß die ganze Halbkugel leuchtet und der Betrachter nicht geblendet wird. Aufgrund der Farbenzusammenstellungen können die verschiedensten Wirkungen erreicht werden. Kein verformtes Kunststoffglasteil gleicht dem anderen, sodaß aufgrund der Farbenwahl und -anordnung und der verschiedensten Formen, keine Leuchte der anderen gleichen wird.It is a lamp that not only represents an object of use, but can also be addressed as a light sculpture.
