Description
Permanent wash Permanent wash, consisting of your fabric insert, the is covered on both sides with thin gelluloma films is known. Using pigmented gelluloids for their production it was then necessary to use the outer surface to be calendered in order to achieve an approximately linen-like appearance. One was however not able to own an actual whites own characteristic mimicking white hue. Except in the structure showed such permanent wash also have defects in their color. It was always a bit more bluish than actual whites. Then they had already gone over to washable permanent wash, the natural ones White laundry has properties in terms of structure and color tone, in the way to produce that a translucent celluloid film on a fabric insert, which, on the other hand: was laminated with a pigmented film, stuck on. However, such washable collar had the disadvantage that they were relatively short Became unusable due to yellowing of the translucent celluloid layer. Apart from the influence of the exposure, this yellowing is also due to that in daily hearing a cleaning of the abivaschbar: en permanent wash -with soda or soap solution is made without this cleaning agent with such a, the geluloid would be removed again with great care, as is the case with the chemical Nature of nitrocellulose requires.
It has now been found that this is necessary for the introduction of the white permanent wash, in which the fabric structure should come into its own, a very significant disadvantage can be avoided by using translucent instead of translucent geluloid sheets Films made from the copolymers or heteropolymers made from vinyl chloride and another vinyl compound or an aliphatic unsaturated mono-moder Dicarboxylic acid or a derivative thereof is used as the outer layer. As; suitable for the invention, for example, those obtained in a known manner are mentioned Films made from a copolymer of 80 parts of vinyl chloride and 2o parts of methyl acrylate or a film consisting of a copolymer of; o Parts of vinyl chloride and 3o parts of methacrylic acid ester, furthermore the films made of heteropolymers Vinyl chloride and maleic acid butyl ester.
For example, a celluloid film lightly coated with white is one-sided a. Fabric laminated by a known method. Then you protect the tissue by laminating on a transparent film of a mixed polymer of vinyl chloride and methyl acrylate or any other monomer. Punches in the usual way one from this three-layer collar, at which is the celluloid film .the inside and the one having a normal fabric structure and a fabric color tone Polymerisatseite forms the outside, while in the embodiment of an insert collar the side covered with celluloid is the sliding surface of the tie and the side is the $ also shows the laminated polymerizate as a permissible # reverse side. This Permanent wash collar is now not only completely lightfast, but also highly alkali-resistant, so that the cleaning method used in daily use without disadvantageous Influence is. Another advantage that should not be underestimated is that it is reduced Flammability. Experiments have shown that when burning a covered, completely made of celluloid opposite a laminated, half made of celluloid, half of the strip consisting of the artificial high polymers, the burning time of the the latter is about five times larger than that of the gelluloid strip.
Furthermore: it is advisable instead of the camphor celluloid that has been customary up to now a gelatinizing agent that is odorless or at least weakly odorous to use manufactured celluloid for the inside layer of the collar.
Instead of the celluloid base, you can also use a Use film made from any other cellulose derivative.
It is already known to fabricate fabrics with vinyl chloride copolymers, also for the production of permanent wash, to be covered.
The subject of the present invention, however, is a completely different one Forms and differs significantly from the known in terms of meaning and purpose. In particular, it was previously not known that a compound of a film Cellulose derivatives, primarily a celluloid film, with a film from the above Bolymerisaten succeeds perfectly with the interposition of tissue, while it does So far it has not been possible to achieve such films without a fabric interlayer in a satisfactory manner to unite.
