High-power electrodynamic loudspeaker with a cooled voice coil The main patent, patent 7 19 O 11, describes a high-power electrodynamic loudspeaker with a cooled voice coil, in which the voice coil and possibly also the field coil are supplied with air supplied by a special cooling medium source, which flows through the air gap, in which the voice coil vibrates, is guided through or is guided past the field coil, is cooled. In the main patent it is stated that the air should either be blown out of the air gap or sucked in through the gap. In both cases, the voice coil is heated more at the air exit point than at the air entry point, since preheated air is already present at the air exit point. On the other hand, the load on the voice coil is limited by the highest local temperature, so that the loudspeaker cannot be loaded as much as it would be if the heating of the voice coil were approximately constant over its entire length.
According to the invention, a uniform cooling of a multilayer is now
Voice coil achieved by countercurrent cooling, i. H.
For example, the inside of the voice coil is drawn by suction air, the outside
by compressed air, which is the opposite flow direction
how
owns the suction air, cooled. There is then a temperature equalization between the individual layers
instead, as one well and one badly cooled turn are opposite each other.
besteht. Die Spule i schwingt im Luftspalt 12. Um nun zu ermöglichen, daß z. B.
Fig. I illustrates an embodiment of the inventive concept.
The voice coil i, which consists of a two-layer tape coil, is attached to the diaphragm io

the outer layer is cooled with compressed air and the inner layer is cooled with suction air
Coil body extended by a hard paper cylinder 2. This cylinder 2 stands
the labyrinth 3 opposite, which prevents that from the spiral fan 5 flowing out
Compressed air reaches the suction air duct-13. This labyrinth 3 also has the effect that
from the suction air nozzle q. Fresh air drawn in via the suction air duct 13. the
between the inner layer and the center pole, from the outside
the voice coil is sucked in. The compressed air therefore comes from the volute casing
5 past the outer layer of the voice coil i to the outside, as indicated by the arrows
is indicated. The suction air is between the center pole and the inner layer and at the
Field coil passed to the suction air nozzle 4., as is also shown

can. From the volute casing q. and 5 off, the air then becomes a turbo blower
guided. If the air is adequately recooled, it is possible to use a single fan
to be used for both airways. However, it is more beneficial to have separate airways
to choose and to have the two fans driven by a common motor.
In Fig. I, the labyrinth is only on one side of the voice coil
arranged. It goes without saying. also possible on both sides of the cylindrical
Extension to attach such a labyrinth, thereby avoiding even safer
that a balance between the overpressure and underpressure side .der voice coil
takes place. Such an arrangement is shown in Fig. 2, but only the one for the labyrinth
eligible "part is drawn out. The cylindrical extension
2 face the two labyrinths 3R and 3b. Otherwise corresponds
the air flow of the air flow in the arrangement according to Fig. i.
