Charging device The invention relates to charging devices with
a loading arm for moving ammunition from an ammunition elevator to the
Bottom piece of a gun barrel. The invention aims to transfer the ammunition
after the bottom piece to be effected as quickly and safely as possible. This will be in the first place
Line achieved in that the loading arm in the folded down state a
Track sloping down from the elevator to the bottom piece
forms for the ammunition and is connected to a moving part in such a way that
that this when folding down the loading arm of the ammunition from the elevator
is placed on a loading table, such an impulse is issued that it is: over
the loading arm moved to the bottom piece.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the invention is shown, namely Fig. I shows a section along the line I-1 of Fig. 2, Fig.2 a vertical section along the line II-II of Fig. I and Fig.3 a Top view on a reduced scale. The ammunition elevator, of which only the upper part is shown, consists of two shafts arranged side by side, which are formed by the walls i, and the conveyor chains 2, which are provided with carriers 3 on which the projectiles and cartridges are supported. The elevator on the left is for the cartridges, the elevator on the right for the projectiles. The conveyor chains 2 run over the wheels ¢ at the upper end of the elevator. When exiting the elevator, the bullets strike with their tip against a deflection plate 5, which forces them to lie on the plate 6 (position b). At the upper end of the elevator a slide 7 is arranged in each shaft, which is coupled to the gear of the elevator by the levers g and io wedged on the axis 8 and the linkage ii in such a way that it executes a reciprocating movement . In doing so, it closes the conveyor shaft after the ammunition emerges. On the outside of the ammunition elevator, with the help of the angle plates 12, the loading table 13 is arranged with the stop i [which prevents the projectile from sliding down]. The inclination of the loading table 13 corresponds to the loading position of the gun. It is of course possible to make this inclination adjustable so that the gun can be loaded at different elevations. From the loading table 13, the projectile is fed to the gun barrel 15 in the middle of the loading arm 16. The loading arm, which is rotatably attached to the loading table about the hinge pin 17, is handled by the handle 18; their weight is balanced by the counterweight 19. It is provided with rails 2o and side walls 21, which are used to guide the projectiles. In the folded-down position, the loading arm rests on the support pins and 23, which are arranged on the gun barrel. L m the hinge pin 17 is rotatably arranged the flap 24, which is inserted into a cutout of the loading table 13 and which is slightly ventilated when the loading arm 16 is folded down with the aid of the linkage 25 and the lever 26. The airing takes place as a result of the arrangement of an elongated hole 27 in the linkage 25 only after the loading arm has almost completely folded down from the raised position e into the loading position f shown in dash-dotted lines. The hand lever 28 is also articulated on the loading arm, with the aid of which the projectile can be advanced from position d (Fig. 3) into the gun barrel so that the loading arm can be folded up again and the projectile can be attached. The loading arm 16 engages with its part 29, which is bent upward in the shape of a trough. behind the gun barrel 15. It can therefore only be folded down into the loading position when the barrel has advanced properly from its return position i, shown in phantom in Fig. 3, to the firing position k, and thus serves as a safety device at the same time.
The device works as follows: Get the projectile
near the upper end of the ammunition elevator (position a) is the shaft exit
open (position g of slide 7). After the projectile emerges from the shaft
the slide 7 is advanced to the position 1t and now closes the shaft
away. The projectile that is now with the help of the deflection plate 5 on the sheet
6 has placed remains on the sheet as long as the driver 3 is still there
Stop there. If this stops due to the rotation of the driver around the wheel .l, it slides
the projectile returns under the effect of its own weight and reaches the in
the position according to the slide 7 located automatically on the loading table 13 (position
c). The sliding surface of the slide, which is advantageously somewhat hollowed out,
to prevent the bullet from slipping sideways, is shaped so that
there is a smooth transition from it to the loading table when the slide is in
the position h is located. Now the loading arm 16 is with the help of the handle
16 folded down from position e to position /. Doing so shortly before termination
this movement the flap 24 aasgelüftet something. As a result, the projectile rolls
laterally over the rails 2o of the loading arm in the position d from which it
is advanced into the gun barrel 15 with the aid of the hand lever 28.
The second shown in Fig. I on the left, essentially the same as the one before
described ammunition elevator matching elevator is used to transport the
Cartridges. It is also provided with a closing slide and a loading table.
However, the cartridge is removed from the loading table by hand because its weight is significant
is less than that of the projectile.
The elevator is controlled in such a way that it is in the moment
is automatically stopped when the driver 3, the projectile in the position
b releases. The distribution of the other drivers must be provided so that one
this driver in the described stopping position of the elevator at the loading point
is at the bottom of the elevator. The drive motor is switched on again,
when the loading arm 16 returns to position e after it has been folded down.
