Description
Method of making photoelectric cells It is already known to manufacture and form photocells in such a way that the light-sensitive Layer of a mixture of metal atoms and oxide is created by placing on a Oxide layer photosensitive substances are applied and the layer by heating is sensitized, the metal atoms diffusing into the oxide layer. With this sensitization, the photo emission passes through a maximum. After attainment the maximum, the cell is subjected to an uncontrolled wild cooling.
According to the invention, the production of photocells is the aforementioned Kind thereby facilitated and improved that the cells do not after the formation wild, but rather 1/2 to - '/ "hour to be cooled.
The facilitation in the cell production is that man is no longer forced to approach the emission maximum when forming but that it is sufficient to approximate the maximum of the formation to approach in order to reach a squat-sensitive cell. The reason for this lies in that in the production of the cells with slow cooling the achievable maximum sensitivities are on average better encompassed than with wilder Cooling down.
The improvement of the cells consists in that through the slow Cooling an increase in sensitivity even up to the maximum of the emission formed cells is achieved. But show ': also cells' in which the formation was canceled before the maximum sensitization was reached and then were subjected to cooling according to the invention, an increase in sensitivity.
